“My husband Marcus and I just got married a couple of weeks ago and we hosted our reception at 2713 Christopher Glenn. It could not have been a more beautiful place or beautiful experience. Susan was amazing to work with. The architecture, the courtyard, the interiors and everything about the place is truly magical. We highly, highly recommend hosting an event here.”

“Very nice atmosphere. Simple but effective. The fried cauliflower was delicious. The ginger glaze on the cauliflower is to die for. I actually substituted the yum yum sauce on the wings for the ginger sauce and it was marvelous. The wings were crispy and smokey. The Kobe burger melts in your mouth. The coconut bread pudding was 5 star. Can't wait to visit again.”

“We recently had an anniversary party at The Wine Loft and it was so wonderful! We had our wedding reception there 10 years ago, so we were excited to host another event at The Wine Loft. The whole team worked hard to make it a successful event (especially Kristin). We hope to be back in another 10 years :)”

“The food has vastly improved over the years. The barbecue nachos were excellent, as was the open face turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes, and the risotto and meatballs. The cocktails have always been outstanding. Very nice atmosphere. Service was good and attentive.”

“What a great concert venue! Inside and wide open, with a large bar. We have seen a couple of shows here and will be back this year for a couple more. Their bar offers basic mixed drinks and beer, with super friendly bartenders who are on the spot.”

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Club in Alabama, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Perched atop Red Mountain, The Club offers not only breathtaking views of Birmingham but also an unmatched level of service and amenities. The moment I entered The Club, I was captivated by the panoramic views that the location boasts. “The newly renovated Workplay is so well done. The Harmonic is what they call the bar now, and the staff is so kind. Every corner of this place is being updated. They had opening night last night, and the show was so good. The new sound setup they've built and stage updates make such a massive difference. They even have an active salon called HairPlay. 5 stars for sure.”

“There's so much to take in at this park. Beautiful scenery, nice and cool. Friendly staff and patrons. The only thing that I noticed and uncomfortable with was the big pond in the Japanese Garden area had a lot of chemical pollution (PFAS/PFOS). They are widely used in non stick/water repellents. They're long lasting chemicals that break down very slowly over time and has pretty bad health risks once it gets in the body and builds over time. How you know it's present is all the clusters of bubbles on the surface. One of the chemical is hydrophilic and the other side is hydrophobic making it float. I wouldn't touch the water if I were you.”

“I was in Birmingham, Alabama on a business trip and I had a little time before my next flight so I decided to take a quick ride to Vulcan Park and Museum. I was not disappointed! Even though it was an overcast day, the views of the city were very nice and I very much enjoyed the walk through the nice park, the informative signs posted along the way and, of course, the imposing statue of Vulcan, the Roman god of metalworking and forging! Inside, I found a museum that was full of good information about the history of this great working city and birthplace of the civil rights movement. I will sure come back with my family so they can experience this unique place in the history of America.”

“Having our wedding reception here was a dream come true! Will West was a pleasure to work with, incredibly professional, and tirelessly answered all my questions. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the food was amazing as was the experience! I wish the passed hors d'oeuvres had been done differently. My mom (mother of the bride) only got 1 hors d'oeuvre because no one was told there were only 4 per person and guests were taking handfuls, not realizing they were taking others'. I thought by the way 4 per person was stressed when ordering the food, they would've been given accordingly to each guest. Knowing what I do now, I would've asked for them to be plated. Some of my bridal party also only got one, if any.We paid a couple hundred dollars to use their projector for our wedding slideshow. Apparently, the projector could not read video files, only photos, which was not disclosed to me when I had inquired what format to make the slideshow. (I had a second vid format as backup but it didn't "see" either on the thumbdrive). This was a huge letdown to us and our guests... It was so embarrassing for me to see reject photos playing on the screen. Thankfully, our MC noticed my embarrassment and had it cut off after about a minute of it playing. All the hours I spent creating something beautiful to share and my only way of honoring my deceased grandparents felt taken from me. No reimbursement was given so we spent a couple hundred extra for nothing. The biggest let down of all was using their in-house florist. If I could rate that experience separately from everything else, I'd give 1, maybe 2 stars. From the start, my fiancé and I were uncomfortable and did not feel that the florist was on the same page as us. Anything that came out of my mouth as an idea, he seemed to cling to like it was written in stone. I didn't know many flower names nor had I been able to find photos of what I wanted online so it was hard to redirect. I almost didn't have flowers for my wedding as it was on Friday, and the florist thought it was Saturday. Thankfully, I was able to remind him in time. I had chosen a slightly cascading bouquet and wanted the bridesmaid bouquets hand-tied. The florist let me know he would be delivering a little late, which was fine since we were also behind. When he arrived, I was quite disappointed to see my bouquet was very, very round and all the bridesmaids bouquets were posy bouquets (which I had specified in our initial meeting I did NOT want). We had to leave the hotel to make a 40 min. drive to the ceremony location, which we were already late for. With the time crunch we were on, I knew it wasn't an option for all the bouquets to be taken apart and redone. Plus, the delphiniums had already been cut shorter than I wanted. At our reception, he put blue flowers, when I had specifically requested all white. I wanted so desperately to just enjoy my wedding at the reception of all places. I tried to brush it off and deal with it later. I contacted the venue about it a few different times and was told it would've been very easy to remove the blue flowers had I just said something then. As a bride, I had no way of knowing this and what would have been left would've been a sparse arrangement of florals that were still not what I requested. There weren't even hydrangeas and hardly any white stock. I really appreciated how the owner called me personally to apologize about the florals and admit that a mistake was made. She was very sweet and sincere about it. She had been very gracious to not charge an additional deposit for us staying over our time a little at the venue and though that was before the florals were discussed, seemed to want it to count for the mistakes with the florals. They were referred to as such a small part of the day, but being they're in most of my wedding photos and video, I disagree. Ultimately, I do not feel it was rectified.Overall, The Florentine will always have a special place in my heart, and I am so thankful we chos”

“Me and my now husband hosted our wedding at Soiree last month and it was definitely worth it. Holly and her staff were super accommodating to our wants and needs from the start. During our entire wedding planning process if we needed anything or had any questions Holly was very quick with her responses, most of the time getting answers in a matter of hours. She also gave advice and recommendations for trusted vendors she knew, some we even went with booking. All our guests had nothing but praise about how beautiful the venue was and how nice and professional the working staff was. We had a beautiful wedding and regret nothing from this place. Highly recommend.”

“I loved Chandrel and Jessica's professionalism, the security, and the dining staff as well. The food was some of the best I've ever had! It literally tasted like a family gathering back home. They communicated with us well and allowed our staff to taste the menu before we made our final selections. I have zero complaints about The Harbert Center!”

“Facility is great as we are visiting for the SEC tournament. Even with all the crowds vendors, keep up fairly well and have bathrooms, at least the men's stay fairly clean. One note that the line for ordering nachos is a little disorganized and should be reorganized to flow more efficiently. The pay lines cross into the pickup line, which is hectic for which order food comes out and is picked up.Price for entry: $30.00Ticket type: SEC baseball tickets section 200's”

“The nice lady that takes care of this gallery helped me out with getting pictures for my art project by using her own phone because mine had shut down and I didn't have a charger. That was very sweet and helpful of her. The art displayed here is also very nice, although I don't know if it's pricey or not because I don't know what they normally sell for. That was the first time that I went to an art gallery and it was a very nice experience to say the least. Do check them out if you're in the area.”

“We went to the RV show. Great venue. My only complaint is as a wheelchair user, I have to use the parking deck. They charge $20 for parking regardless of how long you are there.”

“I really enjoyed this place. It has a lot of old furniture and details of every room typed out on a piece of paper of what each piece of furniture was used for and made of. It is kept up very well everything is taken care of. It's was a trip I will recommend to my friends and extended family. The ladies that work their are very polite and make you feel welcomed. I pray the Lord blesses them tremendously. Thank you.”

“Staying at the UAB Hilton and went down for breakfast. Synetric greeted me and asked me how I was doing, told me about the breakfast buffet (which was a nice quality and selection of eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, grits, oatmeal & pastries) and was able to get me my coffee to go. The other staff working was also pleasant.”

“Stopped by Wasabi Juan's for a quick snack. Asked for a suggestion and they said the 4:20 Nachos. Looked at what was included and gave them the side eye. They said trust me you will say it was good later. So I got the nachos. It has Doritos, Avocados, Spicy Tuna, unagi sauce, sesame seeds, and spicy mayo. When I say all the flavor combinations came together. I was shocked. The staff sold me on it.”

“We decided to try something new this weekend for my birthday and it was so much fun! We had a private Latin session with Madelyn. We never danced before and really just wanted to have a little fun with it. She read our minds! We learned the rumba and salad. Two moves we can almost use anywhere. I would totally recommend this place and Madelyn to my friends and family. Although we are not in the area hopefully we can return for more lessons”
