“After visiting several veterinary clinics around Birmingham over the years, I can confidently say this was the best experience we’ve ever had. My wife brought our 125-pound Mastiff in for his first visit, and anyone with a giant breed knows that a vet appointment can be quite the challenge. From the moment she arrived, the entire process was smooth and efficient. We were seen quickly, and every member of the staff was welcoming and professional. Dr. Sam was outstanding. He was genuine, compassionate, incredibly thorough, and completely transparent throughout the entire appointment. He took the time to carefully explain everything, answered every question, and made it clear that he truly cared about our dog’s health and well-being rather than rushing us through the visit. The pricing was another pleasant surprise. Everything was explained upfront with no hidden costs, and despite our dog needing X-rays, the total was far more affordable than we expected and significantly less than what we’ve paid at other veterinary clinics. The level of care, attention to detail, honesty, and professionalism was exceptional. We’ve found our veterinarian, and we won’t be taking our dog anywhere else. I highly recommend Dr. Sam and his team to anyone looking for a veterinary clinic that genuinely puts both pets and their owners first.”

“Went recently for the first time and were very pleased. They fit us in on short notice and were super friendly. They aren't the cheapest Vet we've used and they don't take American Express but we will certainly be back. Have still been taking our dog here and they now take American Express!”

“Dr. Coskery took the time to explain my dog's problem and showed great care. I never felt like he was in a rush to get me out. He answered my questions and put me at ease. Everyone I had contact with, from the front office staff to the vet tech, were nothing but professional and friendly.”

“So caring, always very concerned, cat-centric. Heartly had a boo-boo in his mouth that was causing issues. The team at Metro Cat was able to get him in right away and he is now on the mend.”

“Dr. Stark is compassionate, thoughtful, and exceptional with anxious dogs (and owners). She never recommends unnecessary tests, takes a whole-pet approach, and truly listens. When my senior dog lost significant weight with normal test results, Dr. Stark identified stress-related GI issues and helped her fully recover. Her surgical referral for a chest mass and follow-up guidance were excellent. Thanks to her care, my dog will be a happy 15-year-old soon. Highly recommend Dr. Stark and South Shades Crest Animal Clinic.”

“The staff here are always so kind and welcoming. They are able to get you in fast, even if it’s an hour before. The nurses and doctor are also very kind, knowledgeable, and try to approach the issue in the best way. We have never had any issues with the staff, scheduling, or medical resolutions. 10/10 !!!”

“I am so impressed with the staff and veterinarians at Banfield with every visit since 2023 when I first brought one of my pets to them. I’ve used them several times for a young cat and older small dog, and each time I’ve been treated very well and my fur babies received excellent care! The Dr.’s took great time to explain every detail, protocol and options, and the staff have always been friendly and engaged in explaining my visits each time. The pricing is fair and details are printed out upon leaving. Excellent in every way!!! Excellent!! Highly recommended!”
