Walmart Neighborhood Market is a local grocery store option that provides a generally satisfactory shopping experience for customers. The store layout can sometimes be confusing, particularly for seniors or disabled individuals, and temporary signage or handouts could help ease the transition during reconfiguration. While prices may be higher compared to other grocery stores, the store is well-stocked and offers a quick, easy in-and-out experience for shoppers. The evening staff, especially the friendly and helpful managers at the self-checkout, are praised for their excellent customer service. They are attentive, provide assistance when needed, and create a positive atmosphere, making the shopping experience more enjoyable. Customers appreciate the personalized interactions and the overall friendly attitude of the employees. The store's smaller size and focused selection of grocery items are seen as advantages over the larger Walmart Supercenters, which can feel crowded and understaffed. The Neighborhood Market is generally well-received, with one customer describing it as a 5-star experience for their grocery shopping needs. However, some customers have encountered issues with the new self-checkout layout, as well as occasional difficulties with the ATM. Overall, Walmart Neighborhood Market provides a convenient and generally satisfactory grocery shopping option for the local community.

The Hoover, Al, location is the worst. The associates are extremely rude, and refuse to get on a register to ring up if you need assistance. All of the self-checkouts aren't usually available. The shelves are half stocked with merchandise. I hate using the self checkout. The bags are placed to high for me to bag my groceries.
