About Mobile County Animal Shelter
Mobile County Animal Shelter is a service of the Animal Control department that is responsible for animal welfare and enforcing state animal laws in the County's unincorporated areas. The shelter welcomes volunteers and donations of pet toys and beds.
At the shelter, adoptable pets must be spayed or neutered and microchipped. Animals are given preventive vaccinations, including rabies, and are treated for fleas and heartworms. The staff at the shelter truly love the animals that come through their doors and are dedicated advocates for the adorable furry residents.
Customers praise the shelter's friendly and helpful staff, who go out of their way to assist with adoptions. Adopters receive a certificate for a small bag of dog food, a free vet visit, and some treats and toys, along with a leash and collar. The shelter is highly recommended for those looking to add a new furry family member.

I adopted a dog from this shelter 16 years ago who was a joy to our family. Sadly, we lost him a year ago to old age. He will live in our hearts forever...

Everyone there is very nice, caring and helpful! They also do their best at making sure they have fosters and or rescues ready to take the dogs in as fast as possible so they aren't long in the shelter.
