“Kudos. My dog was attacked this morning and when i hysterically called my VET of over 10 years (where i have spent thousands of dollars on personal pets and charity cases) and they told me they had an appointment available at 330 this afternoon i said nevermind and called Springhill Animal Clinic. Was in an exam room within 30 minutes of the attack. Needless to say all my records for my 6 pets have been transferred to Springhill. (and yes i realize that is too many...) Amazing that the other clinic was able to accommodate the records request in a timely manner. I am not mentioning other Vet name because they provided excellent care to my pets over the years.... maybe they need to better train the answering the phone person to know when to detect an emergency! My dog will be fine and my mental state intact thanks to SHAC!!”

“Open on the weekend and accepts walk-ins. We were on vacation at Dauphin Island and my dog needed to see a vet (non emergency). They were the only vet that we could see on a Saturday without an appointment. A little pricey office visit but can’t be mad about it given the situation. They were able to see us quickly and we were on our way in about an hour total. Very friendly and professional staff.”

“I should have posted this before now, but we had our puppy boarded here, from August 2– August 11. Our puppy received much TLC from the staff. Some sweet soul on the staff sent me regular pictures of our pup, because she knew how much I didn’t want to leave him. Upon pick up he was his usual happy, charming little self, no visible problems, no wt loss, looked great. They took very good care of our boy. I highly recommend the boarding offered here.”

“We have taken 1 of our dogs, for extreme allergies, and 1 of our cats to be fixed and get his shots. The only things I am upset about is that we hadn’t found these doctors earlier! These are some of the most caring, compassionate, patient, wonderful people my wife and I have ever come across in the medical field! And to top it off, they have some of the best, most fair prices of any vet we’ve been to. They take their time with you, and really seem to care about the animals. I HIGHLY suggest these doctors to any and everyone with fur babies!”
“THE BEST!!! University Animal Clinic became my go to after I had to find a New Vet ASAP after the sudden loss of my Best Friend bc the Vet I used at the time, insisted she remain for “24 hour overnight observation”, after performing an unnecessary major surgery. I didn’t know to even question that 24 hour observation was NOT EXACTLY THAT -24 hours- she had been left with no one there from 4:00am -> 7:30am, (over 3 1/2 hours ALONE)….where she passed away, alone in a cold awful place she HATED. They called when “they said they checked and she was doing well recovering, but when someone was physically back to open at 7:30am …they found her and she was just gone- and were baffled”…WELL, despite a NICE EXTERIOR, this was unfathomable…THAT is not 24 HOUR OBSERVATION!!!! I immediately reached out and overwhelmingly was referred to University Animal Clinic, and initially scared to just trust again, but have found a straight shooter Animal Hospital that have TRUSTWORTHY DR’s and Amazing Staff. No hoops, no unnecessary upselling, and provides options, explains why reasons/opinions so as to make informed decisions. And that was over 14 years ago. They recently gave me several amazing weeks longer w/my fur baby that passed just passed away at 16 1/2 years old AT home, surrounded w/her family, when she had a stroke in 9/25/24 and we took her there, and believed it was her final ride and she would not be returning home. Instead, his almost immediate Dx and HONEST OPINION, was the best thing that I could have asked for. She was better than she’d been in a long time, until it was simply her time. But hands down, he gave enough information that went weeks further than anyone expected, and kept us from having to make the worst decision ever THAT DAY, and she did amazing, all things, and her age. But a steroid shot, some basic medicine, and pointing out she was alert, so why not give her a couple days and then see how she was…HE WAS RIGHT! And as Wrecked as I am that she passed away this week, I’m so grateful, he shared his honest opinion, and I had more time with MARKED improvement almost immediately, and I didn’t just blindly give up on her.
Highly recommend University Animal Clinic. They are by far the best, and have been taking care of my almost 14 year other FurBaby, since. Far beyond years we could imagine she’d still be around esp considering the very rough start she had starting w/a believed hopeless chance of surviving her birth.
They care, they provide options (not just one thought that have proven others so wrong, so many times, and immediately clearing out your bank account feeling there’s no other options at a life …and quality life to boot.) things happen but just accepting the only way, is not how it is, as so many vets over my years have been.
THANK YALL!!! I’m so sad, but SO GRATEFUL FOR the many times they have provided info verses telling me only one option, when there are others and providing the reasons behind them. The others (and sometimes there is only one way) but many have simply provided one solution as “options” and that’s literally NOT THE DEFINITION. Go see them if you you want exceptional care for your Furbabies. Hands DOWN, THE BEST!!!!”

“I've had 3 cats see Dr. Lisa for their annual physicals. She and her staff show great empathy to all the animals I see there. My former neighbors surprised me one day when they brought their dog in, and they agree. One of these cats died due to a tumor growing in her lower GI, and Dr. Lisa took great care of her. She passed away at home with her humans at her side. The other two are tomcats, a year apart, and Dr. Lisa was very informative on how to introduce them. Highly recommend!”

“Definitely an expensive visit but everyone was very nice. They had to deliver some really bad news to me but took their time, sat down with us, repeatedly asked if I had questions. Which was great because I think I was in shock. They even gave me a sample of a newer medicine they had gotten in. My cat is already doing so much better than she was a week ago when this happened.
I’m very grateful I had the funds for everything, 500 dollars for all the bloodwork and checks they ran. I’ve had her since the day she was born nearly 19 years ago, I’m glad I got more time with her!”
“My 4lbs Yorkie Yola is a patient. Dr Jordon and his staff have taken good care of her. Dr Jordan performed surgery on her last year fixing an hernia. March 6 2024 Yola was stung by a bee. Within ten minutes she was unconscious. I was broken and desperately needed help. The staff and Dr Jordan stopped everything to save Yola. I’m sooo appreciative. The Small Animal Clinic is our forever veterinarian. ❤️”

“Dr. Caroline is an exceptional woman and veterinary Doc that clearly (even at 4am) can work wonders in emergency situations, diagnose/treat unusual symptoms and resolve odd problems/symptoms without going through a multitude of expensive tests. She is always there it seems, readily alert, kind and never rushing through leaving complexity and confusion. She cared for our beloved dog of 13 years in his final days and helped us find peace because of the confidence and trust she had earned. There aren't enough stars to rate Dr. Caroline!”

They actually saved me money and looking into other options instead of just jumping into doing surgery right away like another veterinarian wanted to do. I LOVED these two doctors and they will be my veterinarians for all my animals now. Thanks you two for your help and making me feel at ease.”

“Dr. Long is the only vet I fully trust with my animals. My elderly cat had a tumor on her neck in a very dangerous spot for surgery. I was a wreck and scared I would lose her. He assured me he would do everything in his power to help her. She came out of surgery and made a stellar recovery. You would never have known she had surgery because the stitches were perfect. Fur grew back perfect. Over a year later and she is doing amazingly. I 100% trust Dr. Long”

The staff made sure we had TIME to spend with LaLa before we said our final goodbyes! She fit us in right away and was calm and confident in her treatment of our hurting dog and in discussions with us (the anxious fur parents). “My first-time here as we just moved to Mobile.Staff was super nice and the vet very knowledgeable. I do wish we could download first time paperwork so that it can be filled out ahead of time.My dog is wiggly and isn't comfortable around other dogs,so was difficult to do that with her.Otherwise it was a great routine visit.”
