I was racial profiled at the perfume department. Employee named Iesha (Indian lady) was following me and I was unable to make my purchases. I asked her was she assigned as my “personal assistant “ and she stated “YES”. I told her I didn’t need help but she continued to follow right behind me. I am very disappointed in this experience and this issue needs to be addressed.

Customer service has taken a dive. Talking to yourself and snapping your fingers, tossing returns that make a loud banging noise, saying things are out of stock but they are there, asking to check the customer out within two seconds of finding an item. Come on guys! It's Christmas!

I just had the best experience yesterday and need to give a shout out to Brittany in the women’s department and Shayla in Lingerie. They both went above and beyond helping me find exactly what I needed and fitting me properly. I was so impressed by them and will be coming back! They were so sweet and took their time to make absolutely sure I had the perfect fit and everything I needed. For someone who often struggles with fit, it was a breath of fresh air! Thank you ladies so much and I would highly recommend going to see them!

This Dillard’s is the last of the great full-service department stores. If you want that old-school customer service experience when shopping for clothing, this is the place to visit. I live in Maryland but was visiting Montgomery, Alabama. The atmosphere was laid back but there was always someone around to help you. They offer fittings and style advice.
I gave the store a 4 instead of a 5 because of an awkward experience in the shoe department. The elderly sales clerk in the shoe department needs customer service training. He answered a question I asked about a pair of shoes with a statement, “I always tell black people . . . “ That felt so weird. It was like I rode the second floor escalator in the year 2024 and arrived on the first floor shoe department in the year 1966! He wasn’t embarrassed or ashamed and didn’t seem to understand that the phrase was offensive. He wasn’t mean-spirited so I believe sensitivity/customer service training would benefit him.

Best part is the lady who recognizes us when we come back and is super friendly. I notice this with all the staff I've interacted with, very welcoming and helpful.
