About DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Montgomery Downtown
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Montgomery Downtown offers a mixed experience for guests. The front desk staff is consistently friendly and helpful, providing good customer service despite some issues with maintenance and cleanliness. The rooms are generally larger than expected, resembling economy apartments with more space, but they often show signs of wear and tear, such as worn furniture, non-working electrical outlets, and a musty smell. Some rooms lack basic amenities like a fridge or microwave, and the overall condition of the rooms and furnishings could use upgrades. Guests have noted that the hotel’s cleanliness is inconsistent. The lobby floors and elevators were dirty on multiple occasions, and the room cleanliness varied, with reports of dirty floors and unkempt bathroom facilities. Safety concerns were also raised, with some guests feeling the environment outside the hotel was unsafe due to loud, homeless individuals, and noting the lack of security measures like controlled access to elevators. Food and beverage options are limited, as the restaurant and bar close early at 9 pm, often leaving guests with few options for late-night dining. Parking can be costly or inconvenient, with some guests experiencing unexpected charges or difficulty finding parking in the area. Overall, while the staff’s friendliness and the room size are positives, the hotel’s maintenance, safety, and amenities may not meet all expectations, especially considering the price.

The customer service at this hotel is horrible. Our team arrived and their meals were not ready, no one offered any explanation or any kind of compensation. No one ever answers the phone and when they do, the staff is very cold and almost rude. We are still awaiting our final folio and no one will oriduce it for us.
