About University Inn at Maxwell AFB
University Inn at Maxwell AFB offers a solid and convenient place to stay, particularly for Squadron Officer School (SOS) attendees. The rooms are consistently described as spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and impressive. A well-equipped kitchenette is a major highlight. The location is excellent, being close to the fitness center, cafe, academic building, and the base exchange. The staff is noted as helpful, excellent, and going above and beyond. Daily room service is provided. However, there are notable drawbacks. The HVAC system can be noisy, affecting sleep, and the thermostat cannot be adjusted, which can be uncomfortable. Additionally, the television cable service is reported to be very unreliable, frequently going out. Despite these issues, many guests found it a great stay and would be happy to stay there again.
Heater and hot water went out for over 3 days during my stay at different timeframes due to no maintenance over weekends. So if an issue happens Friday evening, it will be looked at Monday so good luck.

This is a pretty good spot but it’s not very close to anything, the base vehicle ops is really good about getting you a ride if you need it though. They will even take you downtown.

The night crew is very rude.But not all of them.Its very hard to get reservation from the night crew.Either though the parking lot at most building are empty.
