The morning before I dropped him off in the afternoon, I left a message for the vet about diabetes care and checks during his stay. After I picked my cat up, I found out that my message was never given to the vet. They did give my cat his current dose of insulin daily while he was there. However, the opportunity was missed for checks and possible better glucose control.

1304 McCoy St, OpelikaWe lovvvvve Countryside Vet Clinic. Everyone there cares for our fur baby as they would their own. Our "Boomer" enjoys his baths and boarding times there. Dr. Rider provides excellent medical care and is very attentive to the medical needs of each pet patient! We highly recommend Countryside Vet Clinic for excellent pet care!

3101 Frederick Rd Suite 2, OpelikaWe were sad when we found out Bombay was no longer near downtown Auburn, but this fusion place by the same owners is exactly what we needed (and it’s closer to Opelika which is nice for us!) We went for lunch and you just order/pay at the counter and they bring it out to you, easy peasy. I got the fusion Chicken 65 wonton taco and my husband got the classic Tikka Masala bowl which was SO good! Their medium spice wasn’t spicy, it’s just right. The fries are amazing and I could eat a whole basket of their garlic naan ? We can’t wait to go back!

Side note the beer cheese and pretzel is AMAZING. Their beer and pizza are great too.

1900 Pepperell Pkwy, OpelikaA classic in Lee County. If you are in the area this is one of those mandatory spots. I remember going here as a kid. It still tastes the same. These are some of the best hotdogs and ice cream in the south east. This an old school walk up, no seating except outdoor tables.

714 1st Ave, OpelikaWe were visiting from out of town and absolutely loved Resting Place Brewing! The patio is beautiful and spacious — the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the afternoon. It’s very family-friendly too — we had our kids with us, and they felt totally welcome. The pizza was incredible and the beer was just as good, with lots of great options to try.
Such a warm, inviting atmosphere with friendly staff and great vibes all around. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area! ??
