“Our family had to make the heart wrenching decision to put our beloved family pet down. He was 14-years-old and had developed a neurological issue that was hindering his mobility. Dr. Knight is our usual vet, but we have seen them all. Dr. Clark had to have the tough conversation with me on how his condition would more than likely worsen and about his quality of life and age. He was very patient and empathetic with me because he knew I was not ready and we don't always want to see what needs to be done. We did a round of steroids and pain meds until I realized that we were having more bad days than good days. I could see his health decline as we tapered off the steroids. I had to let him go and I was so thankful when Dr. Knight informed me that it could be done in our home. We scheduled it a few days out and celebrated him everyday leading up to that day. Dr. Knight and two very kind ladies came to our home and loved on him and on us. They walked us through the process. They gave us all the time we needed before the procedure and after. We chose to do the procedure in the bed that he used to sleep in when it was just me and him (before I met my husband). It was his safe place. It was where I could find him when he wanted to be alone. He laid in the bed. Dr. Knight and her assistants stepped out as we said our final goodbyes. I sang to him the song he has heard every night while putting our small children to bed. Dr. Knight and the young ladies came back in when we were ready and they held him and loved him as they did the procedure. I laid next to him and just held him until the very last minute. It was quiet. It was peaceful. Dr. Knight let us know that he had passed and they stepped out to give my husband and me more time to hold him one last time. In a time of so much incredible sadness, I am so thankful for this experience. I am thankful he did not have to die in an exam room on a metal table. I did not have to walk out of a vet's office crying in front of everyone and pay out at the desk. It brought me peace and it was a beautiful procedure. Thank you so much Dr. Knight for all the information you sent to help me determine when it was time and if I was making the right decision, Dr. Clark for being so patient and empathetic with me, HCAH staff (especially the two ladies who were present with Dr. Knight), and Hampton Cove Animal Hospital!”
“I could not possibly give a better review of this vet. I got a flat tire on the way to the vet with my cat. I called SOBBING and freaking out because my cat would be panicking while waiting for AAA. Ginger actually drove to me and picked up Penny and I. It was the kindest thing anyone has ever done for me.”

“I have been boarding Raider at Covepets for many years, and always pleased. This visit, I viewed Raider’s accommodations, just because I wanted to see, and maybe ya’ll understand!, and I was very pleased, with reinforced confidence of a great boarding. The staff has always been absolutely perfect in every way, and this boarding, I picked up on Saturday, without provision for a bath, and Raider was picked up just as clean as I left him, a good indication of care. Raider’s attitude was good upon pickup, and I am very satisfied at Covepets for boarding!”
“I’ve been bringing my shih tzus here for a few years. The old vet was nice but he did knock the eyeball out of one of our dogs when neutering him so…. I was glad when he left, the new vets are cool. The rooms are clean, free treats for pups. I like it.”
“Dr. Karen Lamb and her staff are incredible. She has the most caring and attentive team. My fur babies and I have been going to her for years and I completely trust her care and expertise.”
“We just moved here and needed a vet. Mann Veterinary was recommended. So glad. What a great place. We saw Dr. Nunnelley was great. The whole staff was fantastic. So happy we found this place.”
