“From the moment Dr. Combs met Toby-wan and diagnosed him without a bunch of expensive tests I knew she was OUR vet, that we kindly share with everyone. Since our problem-child Toby-wan Kenobi to our current herd of cats and dogs, 16 years later, there is no one I trust more than Dr. Combs. Her heart for animals knows NO boundaries; I've brought in a baby bunny I accidentally mowed over and she treated her, no questions asked. Dr. Combs demands the same love for animals and respect and compassion for owners that she has from all of her staff, so from 1st phone call and on, you and your babies are in the best hands.”

My only suggestion, and at the fault of the clientele and not the establishment, would be to implement a silent phone policy.
I could not believe how rude some grown adults were being while we were all being given care instructions. Don’t talk over the professionals to answer people’s questions yourself and silence your phones people!”

“When we moved here a while back I looked for a vet office that we would feel like family, not just a number. One that had alot of resources available as my boys have both challenging personalities and medical conditions, we didn't want to constantly be referred out. All of those boxes were checked finding this clinic!!! The staff are so friendly, compassionate and caring. From the wonderful front of house ladies, who know my boys on sight to the amazing techs and vets, we have always felt seen and heard when discussing our concerns. Due to their medical challenges we've already had several visits in a short amount of time and while vet care is not cheap no matter where you go, I've never felt it was unaffordable here, nor that I wasn't getting top care for my boys! Relocating is tough enough, I'm thankful to have found this clinic to help keep my boys happy and healthy!!! Absolutely recommend everyone at Animal medical clinic to look after my babies like their own!!”

“We've known Dr. Mc Manus, since we came to Huntsville, 26 years ago. I've always taken my animals to them. At first it was our cats. One needed surgery right away and hadn't eaten in 3 days, because of what we think was a wild animal attack. She had broken ribs and 2 hernias. Then one of my dogs had a atypical adenoma that would have ended up cancerous, if we hadn't had it removed right away, and they even checked the lymph nodes, as well. They give great medical treatment and truly care about you and your pets! Joy, Kim”

“Let me just start off by saying this is the best place I’ve ever been for my dog. He was so down and out, and I thought he was going to die, but they took care of me on a walk-in When I had to go to work and they took care of my dog, that was there very own. Everyone from the front desk to the doctors to whomever deal with me were absolutely amazing. I have nothing but good things to say. I almost cried when my dog got back To health. He had a gastrointestinal issue and they did everything they could to help me. Payment was no issue, They even called another vet that I have been visiting to make sure he was OK. They really know that our pets are our family and I give them nothing but 10 out of 10. I can’t repay them enough.
Also, the front desk gave me a lot of nice compliments and I felt seen in a very long time. Again, I would never complain about this place.”
“A New Leash on Life has partnered with Flint River Animal Hospital since they opened their doors! They are one of the few vets who will work with homeless pets (who have no owner to pay their vet bills) at a discounted rate so our donated funds can help as many pets as possible. We have sent countless rescued dogs and cats to them for spay/neuter and for all kinds of ailments like broken bones, parvo, organ failure, opthalmic issues, geriatrics, respiratory issues, soft tissue surgeries, and everything else you can think of. The owner, Kevin Lowe, and other vets at FRAH have helped our homeless pets in so many ways so that they could have a wonderful life with new families who adopt them. We are extremely thankful for our ongoing relationship with Flint River Animal Hospital...so many homeless pets have a healthy, happy life now because of them!”
