“So far so good! They have lots of activities each day which is great if you have a very energetic child like I do. He comes home tired and ready for bed at his bedtime each night while other daycares he would be bored all day and not allowed to get energy out near as much. Lori is amazing and so is my child’s teachers.”

“We transferred to AK weatherly earlier this year and could not be happier with it. From the start, their directors are so friendly and approachable. I could ask all the silly questions and get an honest answer with no judgement. Then, you have incredible teachers that have endless patience and kindness. My child does not nap, and they sit with her and will comfort her or just keep her company without ever complaining to us. Same response with issues with potty training, always very compassionate and understanding. My child has thrived since being here with improved speech and her overall mood. We notice her smiling and lot more, and she always seems to have some fun activities going on for her.
I haven’t even mentioned the parent perks like early and late drop off options (open until 6:30pm), and monthly parents night out. Definitely recommend checking them out”

“School for Amazing Kids - Calera, AL was a wonderful place for our daughter to attend for many years! Very impressed by staff and leadership for ensuring kids get a good start prior to school. There were many teachers that made a lasting impact! They have long standing core teachers that help get kids prepared. Though we are moving on to Kindergarten, we will have to come visit so our little one can visit with her favorite teachers.”

Every day when I pick her up, they take the time to share how her day went—what she did, what she learned, and the activities she participated in. I also really appreciate how they consistently update the school app with details about the children’s daily activities.
I love the way they teach—making learning fun through play, songs, and interactive activities. My daughter has learned so much, including singing the ABC song, counting numbers, and expressing herself more confidently in English. I can clearly see her improvement every day.
They have also been very supportive and proactive with potty training. Thanks to their patience and effort, my daughter is doing very well with potty training at home too.
I truly appreciate all the care, dedication, and effort they put into helping my daughter grow and learn. We are so grateful to have such wonderful teachers!”

“i went to this daycare when i was a little kid . im 25 now lol . that should tell you how great this place was i still have memories of the bowling alley and skate rink more then 20 years later .met some of my lifelong friends here still know them till this day . im sure this place has updated since then but it was great just how it was”

“We don't regularly attend this church, but chose Asbury for their Christmas Eve candlelight service because it was the latest service we could find that would work for our family (8:00pm) due to my husband being on call that night. Most other services we looked into were at 5pm. We felt so warmly welcomed, even with 2 rambunctious toddlers! This church really caters to families with young children. We had the option to use battery operated candles instead of real ones for our kids, and there was even a separate room we took advantage of after attempting to sit in the main sanctuary where our kids couldn't be quiet enough and we felt like we were being a little disruptive (though nobody made us feel that way). There was a glass window and speakers inside so we didn't feel like we were bothering anyone but we could hear the whole service. I don't think we would have been able to relax and focus on the sermon if we hadn't had this option. We also appreciated the busy bags for kids with crayons and paper, and they even passed out a cute gift to the kids attending the service.
I honestly don't think I've ever attended a church where people were more friendly. Every single person we encountered (and there were a ton of people greeting and serving) had a huge smile on their faces and were so eager to help us and point us in the right direction. Someone offered to take a family photo of us, totally unprompted. Not to mention, the church is stunningly beautiful and immaculately well-kept. Thank you Asbury for providing this late service option that allowed our family to continue our tradition of Christmas Eve candlelight service while my husband is in residency with a crazy schedule. We would love to attend church here again!”

“When I was in the process of moving from Texas to Birmingham, I visited Christ the King Lutheran church. Pastor Chris met me outside in front of the church and he was very welcoming. After services everyone was very kind and friendly. That was over 2 years ago and I'm still attending Christ the King. I have never been to another church in Birmingham. Come by, you'll see. Look me up when you visit.”

“Concerned about the below 1 Star from the below review from Mason Brown who went "here" in 2008. This Kiddie Academy did not open until September of 2018. We've been at KW since it January of 2019 and, for the most part, have had a very positive interaction. There has been a lot of turn over since Covid, but every other daycare is facing the same challenges. If you actually attended here and had a bad experience fine, but please don't bring them down if you actually have nothing to do with them.”
