“Hello! I first reached out to Nathan just two days before New Year’s Eve in 2025. His shop was closed for the holidays, but I sent him a message explaining the critical issue I was facing with my car and how important it was for me to get it fixed. I should mention that I live only about a mile from his shop, but my car was barely drivable due to a faulty catalytic converter. The engine was struggling, and I could only drive at 10 miles per hour, which was putting immense pressure on the car.

Despite being on holiday, Nathan compassionately agreed to open his shop just to help me. I was amazed by his kindness and dedication. He patiently examined my car himself, even though it was our first interaction. I should also mention that my English is limited, but Nathan spoke slowly, clearly, and with great patience, making sure I understood everything about the repair process. He replaced both the upper and lower catalytic converters, and after just two or three days, I had my car back in excellent condition.

What impressed me even more was that he charged a very fair and reasonable price, with no unnecessary fees. I know that if I had taken my car elsewhere, I would have faced a much higher bill. His honesty and professionalism were truly commendable.

About a month later, I encountered another issue — my exhaust was making a loud noise. I feared it would be a costly repair, but Nathan once again exceeded my expectations. Understanding my financial situation and the challenges I’m facing as someone new to this country, he spent nearly an hour working on my car. Believe it or not, he resolved the issue and only charged me $25. He even replaced an evaporative emissions control part as part of the service.

Nathan, if you’re reading this, I want you to know that you are one of the most honest and hardworking mechanics I’ve ever met since moving to the United States. “I broke down around 5 am this morning in Chelsea, AL. After learning it was my tensioner pulley and serpentine belt, I called for Kings Boyz Towing, which I waited almost 5 hours. Then I started looking for auto shops. I found 280 Auto Service on Google, and called them as soon as they opened at 8 am. The guys were totally amazing. I explained my situation to them and they said they could get me taken care of as soon as I could get to them. By the time the tow truck got me to the shop, the shop had already ordered the parts for my Sorento, and they immediately put her on the rack. By the time I walked to the Burger King two doors down, ate a quick lunch and walked back the mechanic was just getting back from doing a test drive. Then he rechecked everything to make sure there was no leaks, and even checked my oil for me knowing I had to make a 450 mile drive home. In all my years, I have never been treated with such respect, professionalism, and speed by a mechanic. Most mechanics think women know nothing about a vehicle, but that wasn't the case here. I would recommend these guys to everyone, especially women. They are good, fast and fairly priced. The most expensive part was the tensioner, KIA is proud of their parts. They were worth every penny I spent. And thanks to these guys, I made it home safely to my family before 11 pm, after stopping for a cat nap on the way home. It wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for the service I received from the guys at 280 Auto Service.”

“I'm normally terrified to call mobile tech and this time was no exception, but Reggie actually came out I and got my unit back running. We had an emissions code that activated to engine shut down. I knew there was soot clogged somewhere. And that's where Reggie came in for the assist, cleared the code so we can make it to our destination and recommended an egr valve replacement. “It’s always a bummer to find out you have a flat tire. I stopped by “Big Name Brand” down the road and they gave me a crazy high quote. So I went home called Vulcan and got their quote. It was a great deal so I ordered 2, they called me that very next morning before I even woke up, telling me the tires had been delivered. I went, sat in the lobby, closed my eyes and I think I fell asleep for 30mins or so lol, by then my car was ready to go.

They even rotated my tires around to get the 2 new ones on the front, AND setup the tire pressure sensors. I grew up working in tire shops, I know a good place compared to a sloppy one. These guys run this shop like back in the good ole days ? I’ll definitely be using them in the future.”

“In May of this year I was traveling back home to Missouri from visiting my grandson for his first birthday in Georgia when my Jeep Trailhawk broke down in Leeds, Al. When I called Ron's shop I was greeted by a caring female answering the phone and telling me she would send the tow truck to get me and my car. Ron and his son and crew worked on my car trying to get me back on the road. When the parts needed did not work he made arrangements with his wife and daughter to take me to a hotel and pick me up the next day. They continued to work on my unfortunately not being able to get the parts for my Jeep I had to make other arrangements. However Ron and his family were very kind and caring about me as well as my car. I appreciate how Ron runs his auto shop and I appreciate the ethics he instills at his workplace. I appreciate the kindness his family and workers shown to me when I was stranded in Leeds,Al.
Getting my Jeep fixed back home was not easy either it took over a month to get a new transfer case.”

I had a wheel bearing seize on the way home from a 600-mile trip, and it happened 2 miles from this shop. 4:15 in the afternoon, and Lisa, Tim, and Kevin absolutely went above and beyond to help me. Not only did they tow my truck to their shop, they had the part I needed waiting when we arrived. Tim and Kevin stayed almost TWO HOURS past closing time to get me fixed up and headed home. “The tire shop I normally use didn’t have any used tires in the size I needed, and I really didn’t want to pay full price for a brand-new tire. While looking for other options, I happened to drive by this shop and decided to stop in and see if they had what I needed. I was replacing both front tires on my Nissan Altima.

As soon as I walked in, I was promptly greeted by two gentlemen who asked how they could help. I told them what size and how many tires I needed, and they quoted me $150 for both — including everything. That was a great price, so I had them go ahead with the work.

They had me pull my car around, and right away two guys got to work. The whole process was incredibly fast — I didn’t keep track of the time, but I doubt I was there more than ten minutes total. (Granted, it was early in the day, but still very impressive!)

I left very satisfied with the service, speed, and price. I’ll definitely check back with this shop when it’s time to replace the tires on my wife’s vehicle. Highly recommend!”

Recently bought a set of tires online and had them shipped to store for install.. Ive done this before at other locations and it was nothing short of a nightmare EVERY time.
