“Beautiful store and the women working there were SO nice! They went out of their way to try to help me find what I was looking for. There was art, jewelry, clothes, stickers, cards, and a lot more. Definitely recommend!”

“I love this place. Not only did I buy a fabulous, one-of-a-kind piece of Alaskan art, but I learned their customer service is terrific. What happened is this: the piece was shipped to me and there was a divot on the bottom of the glass that wasn’t there when I bought it. I contacted Stephan’s and asked about options. They gave me 3 really great options and then they made it right immediately. I highly recommend shopping here - they stand behind their products!”

“Awesome selection of vintage clothing item. You spend half your time just taking trips down memory lane and the other half trying to decided which of the awesome things in your hands need to come home with you”

“I saw some of Amanda Rose Warren's art during a First Friday show in Fairbanks. While I wasn't able to purchase anything during that show, I knew I was going to have a print someday. Fast forward a couple of years, and a new house with a large blank wall called for some big art. I ordered a "Siku Polar Bear Eyes" art print online from the Amanda Rose Warren Studio and Gallery. The transaction was seamless, and I knew when to expect my print to arrive. My art arrived safely packaged, and even though it is large, it was relatively easy for two people to hang. Everyone who stops by my house loves the picture.”

“Pros: so many beautiful items to pick from, I ended up buying a purse, a pair of earrings, and two bracelets. It was pricey, it was over $200 but everything was hand made and local, so I went for it. Cons: the customer service was okay, they didn't make me feel welcome.”

“Be patient with their hours, usually Mon-Th 11-2 in the main hospital building. Elevate Alaska Native artists from all around the state, and support this totally volunteer-run store.”

“I visited all the local studios in anchorage and this one is hands down the best! Such a cute shop with many options in jewelry, prints, paintings, clothing, and more. Plus the owner is a local artist with several of her own artworks on display. Something for everyone here! A must visit for anyone in search for local Alaskan artwork!”

“Jenny rocks! She works with beginners (like me) who hadn't touched clay since elementary school to accomplished potters (often together in the same class). The classes are geared to teach you technique, but are not "canned" you make what you want to make. This not "Monday we make mugs, Wensday we make bowls" She encourages your creativity and guides you through throwing on the wheel, trimming, preparing pieces for each of the firings, and glazing. She is able to work with each of us where we are at and her openess and comfort with all things pottery (she's been doing this for 35 years) creates a sense of community in the studio that really supports learning and creativity.”

“Love this place for framing. Never has failed me and much cheaper than elsewhere in Anchorage. Very friendly and good customer service. We have been going here maybe 20 years and our frames and matting and number prices have held up well.”

“My boyfriend and I took a trip to Anchorage last June and happened upon this shop. The Owner and his sons were extremely welcoming and they have the most adorable dachshund. The items are absolutely breath taking and beautifully made. I purchased a pair of earrings and a necklace among other items. I would definitely pin this shop as a must see. The owner is very knowledgeable and so are his children. He is avid hunter with great stories and tips. You should definitely visit :)”

“A fun place to find art, with a little cafe built in. Found several pretty pieces there. The staff is helpful and enjoy what they're doing and their website is pretty good for shopping online.”

“Nice, small, clean gallery in an area with a couple of them. We went for a show by Klara Maisch called "GroundTRUTH". It was a series of paintings done of the mountains of Alaska IN the mountains of Alaska! I have been to many of the places myself, and I was shocked at how well they were captured in paint. These paintings look like photos from a distance but, when you get up on them, look like much more stylized art. Deducted a star because the woman running the show ran up to me to tell me no photos were allowed as I started to take a photo. Then she came back a few minutes later to say that they were allowed. Uh, OK.”

“Local art and wearable/useful souvenirs all in one! Give this place a visit on your downtown shopping trip. Shirts and sweatshirts are soft and good quality and the illustrations are cool and locally inspired. They also have stickers and some household items featuring the artist's designs”

“A small but nice gallery in the heart of downtown Anchorage. With prices ranging from to high to affordable, there is a smaller bit wide ranging selection of art focused on Alaska (of course). Much of the beautiful art is Native themed or created. I recommend their selection of wood block prints. The staff is helpful and informative. They ship with UPS if you are visiting from elsewhere.”

“Great Service | Beautiful Alaskan ArtChad was very kind and helpful. He knew personal details about every artist I asked about and encouraged us to walk around the store and enjoy the beautiful Alaskan Art.If you don’t appreciate the selection of knickknacks and more economically priced items and instead want to see more fine Alaskan Art, walk right outside (same building) to Aurora Fine Art. Aurora is owned by the same Alaskan family as Zoez and has many additional items. I bet Chad or his son Max would be happy to see you there.Hours might vary due to the ongoing pandemic.”
