The front desk receptionist was so helpful and made sure opposing party’s insurance would be charged right away instead of me paying up front and going through reimbursement. “We were very pleased with Rent A Subaru. Our reservation had to be redone several times because of two cancellations of our inbound flight to Anchorage and a new very early departing flight. They accomodated this well and we used an electronic signature process to sign the final contract. Because of our unexpected off-hour flight arrival and departure, we didn't go to the Rent A Subaru office. It has a very nice arrangement with Alaska Park, an 24/7 airport parking service, to shuttle clients between the Anchorage airport and their rental cars at Alaska Park. It worked well.Our rental Subaru Outback was not brand new, but it was immaculate and operated perfectly. It certainly was of advantage to be able to take the vehicle on unpaved but graded roads, such as the one to scenic Hatcher Pass. From my research, most or all of the national car rental companies don't allow this.”

“They were very prompt to call me after my insurance company arranged for a car for me. The gal I delt with was very friendly and super nice. She said that they could have someone pick me up and bring me to their place. I was waiting outside and it was past the time someone was suppose to be there. I immediately called them and the same gal apologized and said there wasn't anyone available at the moment to come get me so she was going to come get me. I've never had an agent volunteer to come get me. That really impressed me.”

“We rented a car at the end of August '23 with Avis Alaska in Anchorage. Had a rock hit our windshield on our trip. Turned it in when we came back & had to file an insurance claim. Spoke with Vickie Scott, a Claims Manager there. Every time we called & Vickie answered the phone, she was extremely nice, patient with all our questions & concerns, knowledgeable, helpful, & fair. Vickie is one of the best people we have ever dealt with in our lives. You can tell that she loves her job & offers to help in any way to make an unpleasant experience a very, very pleasant one!!! Vickie followed through with everything & was very meticulous from beginning to end. Even after the claim was paid, she informed us that the claim was closed, which eased our minds very much. We appreciated her very much & would highly recommend her anytime because her customer service is fantastic & over & above the call of duty!!!! Hopefully, Avis will reward her because, in this day in age, it is a very rare thing to find someone as special as Vickie Scott.”

“Lovely! I’ve rented from Alamo from several airports, and I’ve had such a positive experience with each one. This location in particular, the checkout/rental process was very efficient, I was even 50 minutes early for my pick-up time, and I had a vehicle in less than 15 minutes. A special shout-out to my counter agent Nou…I had (unknowingly) left my cell phone on the counter and she ran out to meet me at the car ASAP. Thank you to her for going the extra mile!! Also major likes: a snow scraper comes complimentary in the car, and I loved the single Clorox wipe packet waiting inside the car to disinfect…just touches I so appreciate and didn’t get at other Alamo locations. Thank you guys!”

“The rental was fine. -1, though, for having a plexiglass barrier in front of each employee, with a huge space between barriers. The ONLY effect being to make conversation with the Budget employee difficult. Zero lives were ever, or will ever, be saved by this measure. And if you closely examine photos of the car rental area of this airport, you will see that they're the only ones doing it. Ludicrous!”
