JBER Commissary is a military grocery store that offers competitive prices and a variety of products. While it has a nice selection of European and Asian goods, including sushi, customers often find that products are frequently unavailable due to supply chain constraints. The store is large and generally well-stocked, although fresh produce can be hard to find depending on the season in Alaska. The meat department is noted for its helpfulness with special orders. Service can be challenging due to the limited number of employees, making assistance hard to find. Overall, it is considered a good place for shopping, though some suggest improvements in employee comfort and customer service.
Due to supply chain constraints products here are frequently unavailable or no longer carried. They have good prices for most of the products they carry. I cannot do all my shopping here. They have very few employees so service or help is difficult to find.

It's a military commissary. The shelves are often bare and the produce and prices hold little value over civilian competition
