The usual Costco strategy of selling large amounts of a limited selection of goods at good prices. Doesn't carry office electronics (computers, monitors, printers), no food court, go to the usual Costco for those.”
“we love this market! today we came for teas, soaps, shampoos, lotion etc. and we found so many extra sustainable goodies.we love the variety of alaskan products, browsing and trying new things. we also get our cooking oils, spices, ak honey, and dry goods. they have coffee, pastries, fresh baked bread, meats, ice cream.the refill process was a little confusing at first as a beginner but the staff is very friendly and helpful, you can bring your own jars to refill or they have jars for .50¢.it’s a fun way to support alaskan small businesses and also reduce your single use plastics.”
“I love it here. I have frequently gone just to look around. I recently bought some chicken hearts here and they were great. My only complaint is that the labels above the vegetables aren't very clear. For example, there were four types of potatoes, but the signs above them only listed three types of potatoes. I couldn't find the price of the potatoes I was interested in.”

“Great borscht and nice selection of food that's hard to find in regular stores. The only minor draw back is that they don't understand English well; they get by with it. Otherwise very nice place and very pleasant cashiers; I will definitely come back as it was first time there!!”
“The store is nice and laid out well, and they have many items that you cannot get in other stores. Some of the items you cannot get are organic or specialty things that are great especially if you have a limited number of foods you can eat. The staff are friendly but by far the most unfortunate thing about this place is its prices. It's not just a little bit more expensive, it's like four to six times more expensive even for normal food items. I definitely understand that specialty and high quality items cost more, but it is so prohibitively expensive that it's hard to get past that. However, if you can get past it, it does really have some super unique stuff and is a great place to stop to shake things up from the normal grocery store. Also they carry the brand of tomato products called Pomi which are really good especially if you have an autoimmune disorder.”

He keeps up with the deals himself to better help the customers so…he takes the time for us and I wanna take the time and write him a 5star review”

“Been going here with my mom since I was a kid and now I shop there and I bring my kids. I believe it's owned by two Korean sisters now. I'm usually going there with a list of things my mom needs. I find the owners to be very helpful. Sometime the grocery stores stocked and sometimes it's not. It's just hit or miss for a small local Korean store.”

I wish I could spell what I buy, but honestly, I have never been let down, and they are so friendly and helpful; if you want something different, give it a try. After searching all over town for a 9ft Christmas tree, I called and got what seemed like VIP treatment to get the display tree (last available) not only off the floor, but wrapped up and loaded into my car for me. “I went into and got the Covid 19 vaccine. A friend caught Covid about 10 days ago and had to miss her first day of nursing program. DON'T BE AFRAID OFBGETTING THIS VACCINE! The life you save may be someone you love or yourself. A friend of mines adult son died from Covid right after the lock down a few years ago beacuse he dis not gwt the shot. If you love your family please, please do this. I had 1st 2 shots during lock-in and was an essential worker. Please dont believe the social media BS. I am a senior ...citizen..that is. It was painless and did not take very much time. Everyone will be spending their PFDs this coming week so either stay at home or vaccinate. I am from the generation who watched friends get bad diseases and became crippled or died. We are ALASKA. WE DESERVE TO BE HEALTHY. PLEASE DO THIS FOR YOUR LOVED ONES.

“Its a small dining area but great Philippine food. You order your food then have to walk to the cashier in grocery to pay then walk back to dining area to eat. Portions are good and price is fair. Great for lunch or take out, will be back soon.”
“ngl imo we looked hella ghetto but were helped very well lol my husband bought a ring online and it did not fit my finger so we brought it in to see what we could do. he didn’t buy the lifetime warranty so we bought it then & there and the ring was sent to be resized. it was estimated to be 3weeks but it took 1 when they called us. the people there were kind and helpful!”

“I want to thank a very patient cashier Fedelyn who was very gracious to a customer that was not only harassing her but did not seem to understand the free Turkey program. She made this cashier redo her entire order as she did not understand the Turkey needed to be scanned in for stocking purposes and the member savings showing she was not charged. I witnessed this very kind cashier quoting the cost from the first transaction being identical for the second transaction. This occurred on 11-16-2024 around 8 pm. This customer left and came back in yelling at her again.
Please recognize this staff member is very customer service orientated and even under the pressure of an agitated and quite rude customer she was very professional, kind and calm. She handled this transaction very well!”

“Me and my Fiancee came in looking for a matching set of simple gold bands and gold Cuban chains, Haley Christian helped us out and we couldn't have been more impressed with our experience! She was personable, kind, patient with us while we worked out what we wanted and could make work, and pulled so many strings and went out of her way to make things work for us!
Unfortunately in the end we were not able to get what we originally wanted simply due to the prices on gold being much higher than were originally noted in their pricing book due to the recent jump in the gold market.
Would come back and work with Haley 10/10 times, great experience.”

“A very nice commissary, large and well stocked. Fresh produce is sometimes hard to find in Alaska depending on the season but they do what they can. The prices are competitive and the selection of European and Asian goods is nice. Don't sleep on the sushi, for the price point it is a very solid lunch choice.”
