The employees are always friendly and helpful, especially when you’re trying to find something, and there’s rarely a long line when I go. The store also seems pretty clean and well kept. My only complaint is the price matching with the PetSmart app. They have signs reminding you to check the app for price matches and discounts, but I wish they would remind you at checkout too. I can’t even count how many times I’ve realized after paying that I missed a discount and had to get a refund and have everything scanned again. Definitely check the app BEFORE you pay! They also seem to have dog and cat adoptions almost every weekend, which is both adorable and dangerous for me because I have to convince myself that I do NOT need another dog or cat every time I walk in. Other than that, I’ve always had a good experience here. The app discounts and coupons have definitely made my wallet happier while still letting me spoil my puppy with new toys!

8225 Old Seward Highway, AnchorageI came to Autumn at the recommendation of my vet due to her experience working with fearful dogs. I have a rescue that was scared of being groomed. I tried taking him to other groomers and he would refuse to come out of the kennel and would just cower in a corner.
Autumn is willing to work with him on a level where he is comfortable and no longer scared of getting groomed.
She has also been kind enough to let us come by and say hello just so he can get to know her as a friend.

PET Emergency Treatment

My cat ate a scrunchie and needed emergency surgery, they took the situation very seriously and helped him quick. If I were to give a downfall, I’d only mention the price being a little high, but with how fast he was taken care of, to me it felt worth it.

557 East Fireweed Lane # D, AnchorageI can’t say enough great things about Alaska Veterinary Clinic and everyone that works there. My dog Kevin and I moved to Anchorage in 2021 and he’s been a patient here ever since. Kevin is now 16 years old and though health-wise the past 16 months have been really hard, I totally credit Dr. Lindquist and the staff here for him still being alive and having a great quality of life considering his age and with his diagnoses.
We are in quite frequently for integrative medicine visits, dental procedures, surgeries, and the occasional acute illness exam, and I just love how much the front desk staff, the techs, and the docs adore Kevin. They show him so much love which makes us both really happy and more at ease.
I’ve always been really pleased with the communication and the convenience of being able to text them with questions or updates. They’re able to relay that information to Dr. Lindquist, put it in Kevin’s file, and get back to me with any answers or follow up.
I also appreciate how patient they are with me through all of my questions and during really emotional appointments. They are honest, take their time, listen, and explain things well.
I am always singing their praises and referring people and will continue to do so.

They have also gone above and beyond to answer every question that I have regarding my new dog, which they saw before I ever adopted her!!!

My Frenchie is 2 and he loves going there, he gets so excited to see the girls they absolutely love him! All of the girls that work there have been there for over 10 years which says something about the Owner. They are all so accommodating to my crazy schedule and it always makes me feel good when I see how happy Barron is when he gets there! I drive off knowing he’s in good hands.

I often pick him up close to closing and never get any pushback. The business is ran by very professional and kind gentlemen in a cute and convenient location, and their pricing is amazing. (The 1 star reviews doesn’t even make sense…its pride month and they do have pride gear on their property, they’re located next to a bar that also flies a pride flag. I’m almost positive the people giving Arfie’s a one star review had the wrong business). Happy pride month guys!

The band was great, and the atmosphere was fun, but the seating arrangement made it really difficult to enjoy the show. The chairs were set up all around the outside, and once the place got crowded, there was no way to get into the middle to see the band.
I think it would be much better to move the chairs toward the front and leave the space behind them open for people who want to stand and watch. The area is already pretty tight, so the current setup makes it feel even more crowded.
Great live music, but hopefully they can improve the seating arrangement for future shows! 🎸🍺

Alaska Humane Society Adopt-a-Cat Shelter
1200 E 76th Ave #1224, AnchorageI had no idea how huge this place is, so many beautiful and different felines. The personality of the cats as well as how long some have been here is astounding. I give props to the many volunteers who make this possible for cat lovers, and adopting special cats. I brought my friend who was interested in a cat, she was able to sit and visit with the cats and relax. The result was Saturday she came back and adopted a beautiful cat for a loving companion, to help and heal each other. Thank you all so much.

Alaska SPCA Adoption Center
8301 Petersburg St, AnchorageWe had to bring our uncle's cat here after he abruptly had to leave his home in Alaska. We tried very hard to rehome the cat, and we were desperate to make sure they had the best chance possible to find a new home. The staff here were extremely kind and accommodating and wonderful and patient and helpful!! Within 24 hours we were able to find our Kitty a place here so that they were able to have a shot at a new home and a new life thanks to these wonderful folks! If you are ever desperate or in a hard situation and need help these are your people they have lots of resources and knowledge!
