I brought my tiny 2 pound puppy in because I cannot find a harness that will fit him nor one he's willing to wear. The lady working helped get him fitted and let him try on multiple options in the store. They have great quality products in here and I love supporting a local business.

549 W International Airport Rd b9, AnchorageWow! This place was A+ and its super organized, clean, wonderful, and a great place for dogs. My pup loved swimming and chasing Frisbee. Pool is like a lap size, with a ramp to allow slower dogs to get in/out. They use doggie life jackets. Have all the toys. Give you someone to assist if needed. After the session you are allowed to wash your dog. You might look at the session price and balk, but IMHO, it's 100% worth it. Give it a go, you'll wanna go back!

There will likely be no warm fuzzies until you pick up your beloved fur baby and you KNOW that your baby was well cared for. Bev has groomed our pets for over a decade so I felt completely comfortable shipping a yorkipoo up to Alaska from the lower 48. I knew this was a long relationship commitment .... dare I hope 20 years, and I knew Bev's doggie salon would help my new yorkipoo learn how to love her spa days. Trust is so important when you're leaving your pet with someone, and I trust Bev.

8225 Old Seward Hwy, AnchorageI came to Autumn at the recommendation of my vet due to her experience working with fearful dogs. I have a rescue that was scared of being groomed. I tried taking him to other groomers and he would refuse to come out of the kennel and would just cower in a corner.
Autumn is willing to work with him on a level where he is comfortable and no longer scared of getting groomed.
She has also been kind enough to let us come by and say hello just so he can get to know her as a friend.

Cornerstone Animal Hospital
1600 E Tudor Rd # 301, AnchorageDr Rapp and the staff at Cornerstone are great. I like that Dr Rapp doesn’t sugar coat things. He’s kind and compassionate but realistic. We’ve been using this clinic for 8-9 years through several animals and the service is always great. While some say they are expensive, I will pay the money for the peace of mind. When it comes to serious medical issues I don’t trust anyone else with my pets.

The team is fantastic.
At his most recent visit Dr Averill recommended an enzyme toothpaste and after 2 applications (which my pup handles effortlessly) there is a visible reduction in his tartar buildup! Some of the worst areas are actually chipping away and his breath is SO MUCH BETTER! This guidance was topnotch and will significantly improve my pups health

535 E 6th Ave, AnchorageLove this place—Arfie’s deserves a 5 star google rating! My adopted malamute mix Ollie has separation anxiety and he loves going to Arfie’s, and they love having him. I often pick him up close to closing and never get any pushback. The business is ran by very professional and kind gentlemen in a cute and convenient location, and their pricing is amazing. (The 1 star reviews doesn’t even make sense…its pride month and they do have pride gear on their property, they’re located next to a bar that also flies a pride flag. I’m almost positive the people giving Arfie’s a one star review had the wrong business). Happy pride month guys!

My Frenchie is 2 and he loves going there, he gets so excited to see the girls they absolutely love him! All of the girls that work there have been there for over 10 years which says something about the Owner. They are all so accommodating to my crazy schedule and it always makes me feel good when I see how happy Barron is when he gets there! I drive off knowing he’s in good hands.

The Brie sandwich that the guy working recommended was delectable, so well balanced and the focaccia was really good. Side salad was unique and delicious on its own too, and the sandwich came with the cutest little macaron lol. The staff here were so sweet, I loved talking with the guy and he was so generous to have given me a couple of their not-so-pretty macarons. Not surprisingly, the flavor of the macarons was also pretty spot on and delicious. Would definitely come here again!!

Very family friendly... spaces were cramped and the staff a little rough on the edges... but where in Alaska doesn't this exist.
Food was good and didn't need to wait too long considering how busy the place was.

Alaska Humane Society Adopt-a-Cat Shelter
1200 E 76th Ave #1224, AnchorageI had no idea how huge this place is, so many beautiful and different felines. The personality of the cats as well as how long some have been here is astounding. I give props to the many volunteers who make this possible for cat lovers, and adopting special cats. I brought my friend who was interested in a cat, she was able to sit and visit with the cats and relax. The result was Saturday she came back and adopted a beautiful cat for a loving companion, to help and heal each other. Thank you all so much.

Alaska SPCA Adoption Center
8301 Petersburg St, AnchorageWe had to bring our uncle's cat here after he abruptly had to leave his home in Alaska. We tried very hard to rehome the cat, and we were desperate to make sure they had the best chance possible to find a new home. The staff here were extremely kind and accommodating and wonderful and patient and helpful!! Within 24 hours we were able to find our Kitty a place here so that they were able to have a shot at a new home and a new life thanks to these wonderful folks! If you are ever desperate or in a hard situation and need help these are your people they have lots of resources and knowledge!
