I’ve never felt more unheard or uncared for by an insurance company than I did with Progressive. My daughter and I were in a terrifying accident — she screamed, cried, and had glass on her. I had bruises and trauma, and my car was totaled.
Not once did my adjuster show compassion. Instead, she spent days asking irrelevant questions about where I was going, what address I was headed to, and even if I had a housewarming invite — as if that mattered more than the fact that my child and I were injured.
I felt manipulated, dismissed, and treated like I was lying or exaggerating. The entire process felt like they cared more about protecting themselves than protecting me, their customer.
I had to hire an attorney just to feel safe and to stop being questioned and pushed.
I expected support during a vulnerable moment, and instead I was met with coldness, doubt, and pressure.
This experience was traumatizing, and I would not recommend Progressive to anyone.

I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy! Got in an accident, person hit me, and my vehicle wasn’t drivable. Progressive couldn’t provide me a tow. Had to pay the $500 tow fee out of pocket. The lady on the phone was rude and unhelpful. The adjuster they gave me was rude, and hard to get a hold of. I’ll send messages and wouldn’t get a response at all. The inspector missed so many damages on my vehicle that could’ve saved everyone a lot of times on waiting on supplemental parts. He missed the bumper and the damage to the hood. Stuff you can see with your naked eye. Then they paired me with the “Manage Repair Representative” aka Jess with mess or “I’m not in the office at the moment Jess.” Thought of a brilliant idea to order a Napa part to be placed on my 2023 vehicle that I didn’t knew could ruin my warranty. Also that part.. I had to pay for out of my own pocket. Yeah progressive will do that. I’m complaining to her on how long it’s taking to get my car repaired, her response was, “ if it makes you feel better, there’s 6 other cars behind you waiting to get into a shop.” Why would that make me feel better? The adjuster and Jess with the mess, all suggested that I call around and see if I can find a shop..basically do their job…2 months later I finally found one to take me in. Told the news to the adjuster and Jess with the mess…silence. Accident happened February 4th, it is July 24th, 2024 and my car is still not repaired. Read the reviews, believe them. They are the worst insurance company. If they are willing to give you an amazing rate…don’t take it. Run!!

Alaska law states claims must be completed within 30 days unless agency faces fines and or revocation of license. My wife filed a claim June 13th 2024. The adjuster hasn't answered his phone nor returned her call. Her car was hit parked. I'd say this is a little outrageous!

Vehicle broke down at 12pm. Spent hours calling trying to get tow arranged (covered by policy) phone number isn't working, mobile app isn't working, online chat isn't working.

HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!! No one truly cares or takes care of your claim. You get passed around from clerk to clerk. Everyone says they will help you but you end up feeling left in the dark. A bunch of he said, she said scenarios

My friend called during covid. When people were working from home. He called and wanted to switch insurance to a new car. He was on the phone for almost an hour. The person never switched it ! He ended up getting into a car accident. Only to find out his insurance was never switched! He was insured 15 years with progressive . Friend ended up losing his license and now owes 50000 and is gonna serve jail time because someone didn't do their job :(

I've been on hold over 13 minutes when the recording says 5-10 minutes. I am not even sure WHY IN THE WORLD does Alaska office even have this recording. I know Alaska is NOT THAT BUSY dealing with issues. I just signed up with this insurance company and will he going elsewhere after my 6 months is up. Crazy, In Alaska be on hold with a local office more than 15 minutes, let alone have this recording/computer answering a phone line. Sad, just sad.
