My least favorite store in all of Anchorage. Every time I go in, they find a new way to make it a bad experience.

After trying to call over and over again they refused to pick up. All over town it’s the same thing. Their system never works, they always lose scripts or have issues with insurance. They’re trying to mess with everyone. They don’t have a goal to help anyone. Don’t waste your time here, because I promise if you try to use their services you’ll be wasting so much more time than you would elsewhere. Fredmeyer, even Costco would be better.

I never leave reviews but this experience was the worst. I had a prescription that I need for an ear infection and they were so rude and tried to charge us 1000 for ear drops even after insurance. Finally got the store manager involved to clean up the mess and sure enough the prescription was actually 40 dollars. The guy with brown spiky hair in the pharmacy has no clue what he's doing and was rude to my mom as well.

If I could give you “0” I would, worst customer service service ever from your pharmacy employees, they don’t answer the phones, they don’t do their due diligence and follow up or follow through on medications they are out of that they have “supposedly” ordered, all my meds are out of sync, I’m not able to take them as prescribed by my doctor, and neither the pharmacist nor the staff seem to care….. they don’t seem to have any empathy, or the understanding y’rjust filling, putting pills ? in a bottle…. There are patients who’s quality of life are severely affected by their mindless indifference…. I literally have had to make arrangements to physically go to this location due to the fact that after 2+ hrs of hopelessly trying to speak with them over the phone, I was not able to, and when I do show up (this is not the first time) they tell me they’re out again. So then I have to leave without my medication, and do you think they have the decency to follow up on this and keep me informed about the arrival of the meds? No, they don’t, so I try to reach them again through the phone….. and the vicious cycle repeats it self , this is affecting my health now as I am not able to take my meds as prescribed…. Horrible service, with zero accountability, between all of my prescriptions (13+) Walgreens makes 8K+ just from me alone, but I’m sure that’s just a drop in the bucket, and therefore don’t care to concede that business to the competition, so I’ve done just that , as they have only become a huge inconvenience, that’s now crossed the line into being a detriment to my health and wellbeing, something they care little about.

Happy to say I don’t have to use this place anymore. I’d rather walk across town in the snow or rain. I’m not even blaming the employees for the incompetence here, because it’s just a top-down disaster.

I hate to rate a store poorly, but over 50% of my visits have had a negative experience in someway or another at this location.Especially with the photo orders. Today I went in for another photo pick up that I put in last week and I received an email saying the photo was ready for pick up. As I arrived, they said they don’t have it, they said it hasn’t even been started. And they don’t even have the photo attached for the canvas print. They said they had some glitches around that time and lost most of the photos. They literally said there was nothing they could do about it, except for me putting the order through again. Which I had used a coupon, and don’t have the time or energy to put through another order. It was enough of a hassle to do the order that I already did.I probably wouldn’t be upset if this was my first negative experience, but this is at least the 10th time that I’ve had issues with photo orders at this location. It’s frustrating. Either the orders don’t go through properly, or their systems/equipment are down.I’ve also noticed they have had different staff almost every time I’ve been in. I can understand the difficulties the store must also be going through trying to keep good employees as well. Challenging times for everyone.

Despite the website stating the business is open, the pharmacy was NOT. We are from Pennsylvania. Our dr called in some Rx. We first tried to call and was repeatedly cut off. My husband, also sick, took an UBER only to find out there was no pharmacist on duty today. He spoke with both the manager and general manager with no resolution. My husband had to UBER again across town to another Walgreens, only after I was required to burden my Dr with another call to have Rx sent to to new pharmacy. After reading all of the poor reviews I don’t know how this location was spared from the nationwide shutdown of stores a while back.Do yourself a favor and avoid this site.

Got passport photos taken for my family and I and the passport office made us redo all of them because they didn’t follow any of the guidelines.

After having put up with their incompetency for years now, I’ve finally had it.The convenience of using a drive thru pharmacy that is right next to my house doesn’t outweigh the constant issues with my prescriptions. This last time I had to return to the location several times for a single prescription, which they then ended up not even having the needles required to even administer the medication. They told me to go to a different location. They then attempted to overcharge me. I told them they made a mistake- Ive never paid that much in the years of having this prescription filled. They then said it was an issue with my insurance and I need to talk with them about it. After arguing with them for several minutes, it came out that they filled and were charging me for the incorrect prescription. No apologies for wasting my time. What a jokeWalgreens is an absolute dumpster fire. I will never again give them another cent of my money.

This place is HORRENDOUS. I was waiting for an hour for a Covid test that takes literally less than 3 minutes. When I called to let the manager know that the person helping me took forever and a half, then told me that there must be something wrong with what I was reporting. I told her to roll back the footage and watch. I hate being a Karen, however this was so atrocious I felt others needed to know.

This is the most dysfunctional, incompetent pharmacy I have ever seen.I took my mother here for a couple vaccines. Long line, one person up front over five people in back.Even though we filled everything out online and had a screenshot of the confirmation that everything was properly submitted, they tried to say we didn’t fill everything out (wrong). They could not process my mother’s insurance even with her ID and card in their possession. What should have taken 20 minutes tops took over an hour.Trust me, you do not want to come here.

Dropped off a prescription for toothpaste. After waiting 1/2 hour I asked if it was ready and the pharmacist wouldn't fill it because he didn't think the instructions from the dentist to brush for 5 minutes before bedtime , spit and don't rinse mouth for 20 minutes were specific enough. No phone call to tell me they wouldn't fill it, I could have waited there for hours and they didn't care. Incompetent pharmacist and poor customer service.

This pharmacy has managed to screw up every single prescription. I'm switching to Carrs. Six month update -- they suck more every time I have to use them. I have moved all of my prescriptions but one to another pharmacy. I can't stress enough how terrible this pharmacy is. They will lie to you on the phone, and when you show up in person no-one will 'fess up to being the person who talked to you. GET A NAME if someone on the phone gives you information.

I will never shop at this location again. My six year old daughter had a bathroom emergency while we were shopping at this location. I asked an employee walking by if I could use the restroom which she replied “it needs cleaned” and walked through the employee door to the back. Then I went to the check out and politely asked an employee wearing a gray shirt if I could use the restroom. She gave me a terrible look shook her head and looked away. I then asked if I could please use the restroom. She then began speaking in an incredibly disrespectful manner and said “you know when you’re in public like at a grocery store and you look around for a bathroom and there’s a big sign with big words that say restroom? Well under that sign is a restroom for you to use. You know, one that doesn’t have a lock code on it? You can use that one.” Gave me a nasty look at turned away. She did this in front of other customers and coworkers. They all just stared at her. I didn’t even reply. I just walked away. She spoke so condescending towards me and spoke down to me. I’m an adult. My two children witnessed this. My six year old daughter was the one that needed the restroom. I had a cart full of stuff that put off to the side and left. My daughter peed her pants on the way home. This woman does not belong working with the public. Her behavior towards me and my children were atrocious. I will never shop at that location again. I Hope something is done about this woman’s behavior towards Walgreens customers. It’s absolutely terrible.
