Safeway, located at 30 College Rd, Fairbanks, AK, is a large grocery store that offers a wide selection of products to meet various shopping needs. Customers appreciate the friendly staff and the convenience of grocery delivery and the DriveUp & Go™ program. The store features a bakery that provides birthday cakes, custom cakes, and cupcakes, as well as a deli known for its party trays and popular chicken strips. While the grocery selection is praised for its good prices, especially with membership discounts and digital coupons, some customers have noted that the quality of meat and produce has decreased. The store is also accessible for those with disabilities and boasts a decent selection of vegan options. However, there are concerns about the floral department due to spider mites. Overall, Safeway is considered clean, well-organized, and conveniently located for the community.
We went to Safeway all over Alaska during our visit. We found this Safeway to be top notch. Consistent with others in Alaska.

We ordered my daughter's birthday cake here. It was one of the best cakes we've had. We got a photo of my oldest daughter's drawing put on the cake. It turned out better than we expected! Thank you to the bakery for taking special care and going above and beyond!
