“The Pioneer Inn provided a very friendy stay. The location was close to all amenities although Homer itself requires a car as it is very spread out. The apartment was very well equipped and spacious and provides everything you need to cook a meal particularly if you've been fishing! The owner is very attentive and always available to answer any queries. I would definitely recommend the Pioneer Inn.”

“Stayed in the Augustine for our 20th and it was awesome. Had everything you would need from robes, extra blankets, microwave, fridge, stove and bbq. It was private, romantic and service was great. Definitely making this an annual place to go.”

“This is a truly beautiful inn with a spectacular view of the mountains across the bay. We frequently saw otters in the water right out in front of us. Our room was lovely with a picture window overlooking the water.The room is extremely comfortable with a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, 2 coffee makers and other amenities. We loved it here. My only regret is that we did not have a car and depending on taxis can be frustrating.”
“Wow, what beautiful rooms with so many special touches. Bed and pillows are super comfortable and the views are amazing. We had the Lux Suite which was beautiful along with the bathroom and huge closet, I could live in this room. They have hot tubs overlooking the water and mountains and I can imagine how beautiful it must be in the summer. The rooms provide all the goodies for coffee and tea. I would highly recommend this place. Don't be surprised by the front of the property as it looks small but all the rooms are in the back on the water.”

“Just got done visiting Homer and had a wonderful stay at this location (December 2025) This is the only hotel in Homer with a fitness gym (was a big plus of me) and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We didn’t end up eating at their restaurant- but the bar looked cool and they did have free popcorn that I absolutely took advantage of! The breakfast wasn’t the greatest- but the view of the sunrise from the breakfast room was awesome. Would absolutely stay here again.”
“The staff in the evening was not the nicest but that's fine, in the morning though they were both extremely nice.
Clearly the hotel and rooms is very old and could use some renovation, but it's still fine honestly! I feel the price is not justified though.

“We took an off season family trip to Homer and the 4 bedroom suite was perfect for our crew. It had everything we needed to cook in the suite. There were games for the kids, and plenty of seating for everyone in the living room. The beds were very comfy, the rain shower heads were great, and the bathrooms had pleasant little amenities. We had wrap around views of the ocean. We will definitely stay here again, especially to take advantage of the cute rockers on the porch.”
