Tongass Trading Company is a wonderful outdoors supplier with four stores conveniently located in the Ketchikan cruise port area. It is a cool place with a large selection of outdoor clothing, including rain gear, base layers, caps, good boots, shoes, and lightweight rain pants. The store also offers a good selection of clothing, souvenirs, and snacks. They can ship bulkier items home for visitors. The staff is exceptional, friendly, and funny, bending over backwards to help. While items can be a little pricey, this is not unexpected given the remoteness of the location. Summer hours downtown fluctuate depending on when the ships get into port.
A great outfitting store has everything you need and at a reasonable price!

Tongass Dock Store is one of the longest running local businesses in Ketchikan. I go there for the outdoor clothing. They carry quality brand named items. Plus a great Company with several different outlets such as a Marine & Outdoor, Furniture, Apparel and Tourist items.

Awesome stuff and great prices. Unfortunately the employee working upstairs with the white hat needs customer service training. VERY rude and unprofessional. Gives Ketchikan a bad look.
