It's totally awesome. Staff is so very knowledgeable about their products. It is like going to a museum. The artifacts are wonderful. There is an artifact from 500 BC along with artifacts as old as 10,000 years old. The Balen baskets are so beautiful. The staff can tell you who made them. A beautiful store. Just stop by and see for yourself.

Visited this store a few weeks ago while on a cruise, and what made it stand out was the less touristy merchandise. The store clerks were patient and kind as I made my selection. Highly recommend!

Cute local shop. We visited this shop after getting off of our cruise. There is a large selection of gifts and souvenirs, and the store is organized well. Employees are friendly. No complaints overall, and it's worth a visit if visiting this town! Note, there are two locations on Google maps, but I think this is the correct location. Also, I don't think it's a museum anymore - only a gift shop.

We recently visited Skagway on a cruise and visited 6-7 different shops in town. Every one of them except this one the employees greeted us warmly, asked us if they could help us find anything and several told us a little about some of the more popular items they have available. We made a purchase in every one of the stores in an effort to support local businesses. There were 3 employees in the store the day we visited and no other customers. Despite this they were all much more interested in whatever they were doing than they were in making a sale.

The employees were polite and helpful. Emily especially was very kind when we were there. Thank you for helping us pick out the perfect crystal fireweed flower earrings for our daughter on a very warm and sunny Alaska day! We hope to visit again one day! Thank you!

My wife wanted a carved Billiken - a good luck figurine from St. Louis and mascot of St. Louis University. Oddly enough, the Billiken is now a good luck charm in Alaska. They had several to choose from at this store - some out of petrified walrus tusks, etc. Nice little shop - they had what we were looking for!

Just heard that Skagway Alaska is one of four counties in the USA with no covid 19 cases, and by far the most populated of the four counties. Visited Skagway before the pandemic, and one place we stopped was Corrington Alaska Ivory. Combination of a gift shop store, with a small museum in the back. The store has all sorts of artifacts, trinkets, and ivory carvings for sale. Museum exhibits show the history of Alaska. Natives hunting the wooly mammoth 30,000 years ago. A mammoth tusk, with carvings of 14 mammoths and 31 hunters for sale for $52,500. That would make up for the thousands of free loading tourists fresh off the half dozen monster cruise ships visiting the museum daily in the past. History of Alaska illustrated in the museum. Painting of all the various animals in the landscape of Alaska, Russian rule from 1783-1867, purchase of Alaska, whale hunting by boat, settlement by gold rush travelers 1831-1921, and the Iditarod race held annually, with a sled and associated artifacts. Some of the ivory collection from extinct and endangered species such as the mammoth and pacific walrus. Why no covid 19 cases in Skagway? It's completely cut off from the outside. The coronavirus halted cruise ship sailings, and no way to reach Skagway by land from the rest of Alaska, as borders closed at the Yukon, Canada, rendering the tourist as the most recent endangered species.

Must visit while in Skagway Alaska, a lovely shop with absolute treasures such as walrus tusks mammoth tooth and fossils and great local souvenirs of Skagway Alaska. Exceptionally nice pleasant staff and agreeably low prices made this one of the better shops when e stopped for the day in Skagway on our Alaska cruise. Actually we thought that these prices were very reasonable compared to the other shops we visited in skagway, Definitely worth seeing, you wont be dissapointed, and for sure we will be back in the Corringtons Ivory the next time we visit Skagway, 5 Stars all the way

The people were very nice and accommodating giving us facts and information about the things that were on display. They had some very low prices as well compared to other shops selling the same thing.

Beautiful and fascinating shop. Gorgeous jewelry collections, stunning pieces of art, all the background information on every piece. I got my fossil mammoth tooth and fossil mammoth bone earrings as my prize souvenirs of our first trip to Alaska. The lady and gentleman who helped me were very patient and informative.
