We had a fantastic hike and float with Bob, and his crew Katie, Jenna, and Charlie. Bob was an absolute wealth of knowledge and experience and made the trip very memorable! We can't wait to return to Skagway and explore more of the Chilkoot Trail and the Taiya River.

Fantastic. Loved that we were a small group and our guide Thomas was so personal. Wish we had done the chilkoot hike but was shut because of poor land conditions. Fully recommend this if you're looking for something authentic, peaceful and good value for money. Get in touch with them if you would like something more elaborate planned as well.

We had an absolutely FANTASTIC experience on our Hike & Float tour today. We started in Skagway at the cruise ship terminal where we were met by Mike - a super nice guy, and we had a great chat with him while we drove to our tour shuttle location. We then met the rest of the group with whom we’d be spending the afternoon. Connor was our driver and hike leader. After beginning our drive to Dyea, Connor shared lots of interesting information with us about the areas of Skagway and Dyea and answered lots of questions from the group. After getting to Dyea (and applying bug spray - warning, lots of mosquitoes), we got underway on our hike. Connor was an excellent guide - SO knowledgeable about everything from the history of the Chilkoot Trail to types of trees and plants. We loved learning lots of new information from him including about watermelon berries (that actually taste like watermelon!). We had such a great time getting to chat and hike with him today. After getting to the end of the section of the trail we were hiking, we met up with our float guide, Owen, and we put on life jackets and traded our shoes for boots (both provided by the Skagway Float Tours team). The float down the Taiya River was wonderful and relaxing - a great way to wrap up the adventure. Owen was an awesome and experienced river guide who handled the raft masterfully. Other members of the team met us at the take out location and helped get all of the gear put away - thanks to Will and Wyatt for that. Afterward, Connor drove us back into Skagway and dropped us off back at our cruise ship. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this group and the tour that they led us on today. Cannot recommend more highly that anyone visiting Skagway book a tour with them, particularly the Hike & Float.

This float tour is about as “real” as a cruise excursion can get. The crew is nothing short of Amazing. Tomas (sp) was our guide and turned us on to the Klondike Bar on the ride back to the ship. Great beer on tap!

We had a wonderful time with Tomas today. From the moment we were met at the dock to the moment we were dropped off, this was enjoyable. Hike was fun and float was lovely. Tomas was knowledgeable and friendly and had an awesome vibe.Highly recommend.

If you want a relaxing view of Alaska with bald eagles swooping down and scenic views of Alaska, look no further than Skagway Float Tours.We've been to Skagway twice in the last year and floating was one of or favorite tours!Bob was a true Alaskan tour leader! He knew something about everything which made the tour even better!

Just an amazing raft tour if you are ever in Skagway. It's like taking one giant lazy river ride for two hours with a tour guide in a rubber raft.If you're looking for a relaxing excursion to see the sights of Alaskan flora and fauna this is a terrific choice. We had a perfectly sunny day for our river ride down the Taiya River. Our tour guide was so much fun, gave us a lot of insight and history of the river, pointed out things to see, and answer any questions we had. He knew his stuff, and made our ride enjoyable. They gave us waterproof boots to wear, life jackets, and went over the details of the ride. Afterwards, there were drinks and snacks available. We did get to see bald eagles and harbor seals along the way. No bears though on this trip. Good thing as I didn't want to become a bear's lunch.

Totally awesome raft float tour down the Tiaya River North of Skagway. Bob, our guide, was super knowledgeable and extremely safety conscience. A master of the river. A must do excursion!
