“The wife and I stayed in cabin #2 and it was really nice and clean inside! At first I felt like the bunk bed was in the way, but it was actually really handy for laying clothes out on. The bed was comfy but the pillows are kinda smashed down and flattened. Parking was really easy and the nearby hiking trails leading down to the stinky dead salmon creek were nice after a big day of driving.”

“Spectacular stay. My only regret is we had only booked for one night. We’ve been in Alaska almost a week and I felt at home here. Dawn’s hospitality was so warm and inviting, her knowledge of Alaska incredibly helpful. The views from the deck😍, clear view of Denali in the sunset hours and if we had more time I’m sure we would have seen the Northern lights. Our cabin had everything we needed. I sure hope to return someday.”

“A great place to stay in Talkeetna. The fireplace wasn't working when we stayed there... So not exactly "fireside". But they put an electric heater in our room that eventually warmed it up okay. If you're looking for that romantic feature of the wood stove - maybe call ahead and make sure they've fixed them.
The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again.”

“Nice little place and I think a really good choice in Talkeetna. Timothy helped us check in and he is very nice!!! He even shared interesting stories about the inn and an introduction to their family. Very warm host. Location is perfect! Walking distance to the local shops. Parking is free. Rooms are decent. Can improve with toiletries but not a big deal. Love the breakfast I got the texmex omelet and sourdough toast, so good!!!”

“Was having a tough moment - came in here and the bartender Bunni made my day with her demeanor and great drinks. Highly recommend to make the walk over to the river.
Came here on another night and John was here. I’m quite particular about my old fashioned’s and it really has to be one of my top 3 favorite drinks I’ve ever had.”

“This is a great place to stay in Talkeetna. The lodge is beautiful and has the best view of Denali (on a clear day, of course).
The lodge itself is beautiful with a big open entry with a stone fireplace. There is plenty of seating so you can enjoy the view, warm up by the fire or play games at a table with friends and family.
There are water refilling stations, ice machines, laundry machines.
We enjoyed the trails around the lodge, which were well maintained.
We took advantage of the free shuttle to town that arrives every 30 minutes.
The rooms are fine. The couch was pretty torn up and there is no air conditioning- which we didn’t need in September. The train does come through around 4:40 AM and wakes you up.
Service is friendly enough but nothing special. Food options are decent. We really liked the halibut Reuben at the restaurant.”

“Great - cabin, amenities, kitchen stuff.
Not great - Wi-Fi.
Ok- 20 min walk to town.
We stayed here for a few nights while in town and we stayed in one of the cabins, not the main Lodge. The cabinet itself is pretty new. I'd say it was built within the last 5 years or so. It's very nice. It has a lot of amenities. The kitchen had all sorts of small kitchen electronics very well appointed. Bathrooms had all sorts of towels and things. Everything that you would need there. The one drawback to the kitchen is it had a very small bar sink which I found a little odd. It does not have a dishwasher so you have to hand wash the dishes which is fine, but the small sink made it a little awkward which we dealt with. The Wi-Fi comes from the main Lodge and it's very spotty at best. So if you're looking for something with really good Wi-Fi, you might stay in the lodge or find somewhere else to stay. It's most likely on satellite which can be spotty. The cabins are about a 15 to 20 minute walk outside of the main downtown area which isn't bad. I would stay here again.”
