Talkeetna Inn is a nice, rustic, and clean hotel in a solid location. It is right in Talkeetna but tucked away off the main strip, avoiding crowds and noise. The backyard opens to the river with gorgeous views of Denali, and it is very close to the main downtown street. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.
It is an older hotel, and the rooms are very small and tiny for the price paid, though they are clean and tidy. Some rooms face the water. The bed is comfortable and the shower gets hot quick, with perfect water pressure. However, pillows were thin and bathroom towels were small. The Wi-Fi signal can be very weak. Some rooms may have a misty smell. The hotel provides instant coffee, not regular coffee. It is a quiet and manageable place to stay, though expensive, with not much other option in the town.
Talkeetna Inn is a great place to stay and an good value for the money. It’s in a perfect location right by the riverfront, and restaurants, shops, and other attractions are all within walking distance. Overall, a convenient and affordable place to stay in Talkeetna.

Fun bar with great drinks and free pool. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. John makes a great old fashioned.

Talkeetna is an unusual place. The town takes pride in the beautiful landscape. The people are nice. It's like a permanent flea market with out bargains. There was a barbeque food truck that is some of the best I have had. My Texas hat off to pitmaster Willie.
