Great place, friendly staff, a bit outdated but very clean. Access to the neighboring hotel with sauna and pool was a plus. Very walkable location for banff downtown. They arranged an infant bed for us which was great. Only downside was the high temperature at night (26C) without being able to adjust the thermostat. It was December, so we could open the door. Would visit again!

Warning… I tried to book this place and they use a sketchy link to try to steal deposits. I attempted to explain my concerns and they justified it by saying they’ve been doing this a long time. There’s no reason why they can’t accept the deposit from a third party app. Something is off about this and their disregard for my financial safety speaks volumes. Fraud alert. So many other nice hotels. I’ll stay elsewhere

Hotel is unresponsive. We just booked with them because of the photos. After doing more research we found out that the photos that made us book is BANFF HOTSPRINGS. Mind you it’s our first time visiting Banff. We aren’t familiar with anything. I contacted the hotel showed them the photos that made us booked told them it was false advertisement. No response. If they’re not photos from the hotel your marketing team should have specific captions in the photos to provide clarity for new quests. Even before I booked it says free cancellation but why now it says 20% of the booking won’t be refunded. I literally contacted them 5 mins after booking. But a quick reverse google search did the job. Poor customer service and I would never book again!

While a little dated the Bow View Lodge is comfortable and clean. The location is fantastic. We had elk walk under our balcony. The beds are comfortable and the rooms a nice size. Overall I’d recommend it if you are looking for a deal in a great location.

I messed up my booking on the app. When I arrived there was no booking. They found me a room anyway at about a 25% discount. I was super impressed by that. Thanks!

We checked into this hotel, and within minutes, a man there tried to scam us. As soon as we entered the room, the TV remote started working automatically without anyone touching it. The receptionist then began telling strange stories about the hotel being haunted, claiming they’d had “sightings” before. He even said he had a “kit” with garlic and holy water and could bring it to our room. It was clear he was trying to scare us, so we left within an hour — but he never refunded our money. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever checked into. Total scammers — do not deal with them at all .
