Went to Blackfoot last week to investigate the BMW R1300RT . Met the salesperson Olena, who was very helpfull and informative. She made me aware of their inventory and the bikes with different specs. She also invited me to test ride the bike as she could tell I was very interested. I came back today to test ride the bike and as she promised the bike was prepared for me to ride. Olena is very professional and customer service orientated, which is greatly appreciated and a refreshing change for this dealership (prior to Barnes aacquiring it). The bike was very agile and responsive with full load of specs
(safety features) and automatic transmission. Loved the test ride and bike, but found that it wasn't quite on par with my current ride (2022 Goldsing DCT Tour). Ergonomically the bike was not a good fit for me as forearm and hand fatigue were becoming prevalent after a short while. The seat was also becoming uncomfortable, which was sad. I really wanted this bike to work out as it was rich with advanced safety features and tech and an automatic transmission(which was very nice). Unfortunately we could not make a deal this time.
Thank you to Olena in BMW sales department for a pleasurable experience at your dealership.

I’ll start by saying I have bought a few motorcycles from this dealership. All those bikes and sales interactions were great
Unfortunately I bought one of my sons an oset electric bike to have fun on and the back tire went flat. We brought it to the service department to be fixed up, through some lack of communication and time when we went to retrieve his bike the service department had said that it had been too long and it was simply gone.
That bike costed thousands of dollars and the dealer just says it is gone.
I think that one of the staff hoped I’d forgotten about it and stole it.
So don’t use this dealership unless your okay with the chance that someone that works there might want to take your bike and there is nothing that they will do for you, even after buying many things from them.
Very poor management and maybe ownership.
Since this happened we have only used Argyll Motorsports in Edmonton and have always referred people to them instead.
I received the generic reply from Barnes. I tried to email the said address in the reply from them. Unfortunately it is just a garbage thing and no emails are accepted by them. This business is an absolute joke and they are thieves. Please don’t use this place. Use Argyll and get real service.

I was looking for a new dirtbike. I met with Devon, who was very knowledgable and took care of everything. I needed in a timely manner. I’m very happy with my purchase and very pleased with the service I got from Devon. I highly recommend Devon if you’re looking to buy a new dirtbike.

Absolutely terrible place to bring your bike went and picked up the bike yesterday they didn’t even give me the keys and the wiring under the bike. Nothing was plugged in and missing bolts and loose bolts and now they won’t even return my calls or let me talk to a manager, so whoever runs this place, please give me a message. I would love to have my keys back so I can ride the bike but wait I can’t because you guys didn’t even put it back together properly and gave attitude when the bike was picked up and slammed the door. If no message is sent back by today or tomorrow, I will gladly come in myself. Thanks.

The fellas at clothing Apparel (Taylor and Evan) were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I receive my item in time due to a flight the next day. 11/10 for service

Tldr, Barnes doesnt pick up the phone and doesnt deal with service in anything approaching a reasonable timeframe.
Brought my bike in for a 10am out of province inspection (OPI), something that aught to take a few hours. Was told they would not look at it until 3pm. Called in the evening, nobody picked up the phone, left msg. Next day, no news, tried calling, no pickup.
Day 3, finally get call back from first day, saying they havent even looked at the bike but should look at it tommorow. Day 4 PM, try calling for update, no luck. Few days go by. Call every day for update, no pickup or callback.
Early week 2 finally get call back, say theyve finally done the inspection, which failed, requiring them to order parts, including tires ask for quote. Takes 2-3 days to get quote. Bit of back and forth finally get parts ordered by end week 2.
Parts take a week to arrive and gets installed. Get call back saying work is done, but the tech who can sign off on the OPI wont be in until the next week. After almost a month for something that aught to have taken a few hours (plus a few days waiting for parts), I finally get to pick up my bike. Great. Go to registry, turns out, I did not even get a certificate for the OPI...
Once realizing the missing paperwork, I tried calling multiple times to see if they could email me a copy of the cert. No pickup, so went in to try getting the original. Very pleased to see a half dozen employees hanging out in the service dept. Wonder what they had been so busy with that one of them could not awnser phone calls 30 mins ago. Was provided a copy of the cert as the original was lost, which luckily the registry accepted (they didnt have to, theyre only supposed to take originals).
Barnes, as a buisness, does not respect you, your time, or your investment. Simple things like open communication and picking up the phone would go a long way.

Kage in sales was great. He kept in touch for over a year while I decided what to get. We went back and forth for awhile and he was always courteous and timely with his responses via text and email. His no pressure approach was a breath of fresh air, and his overall knowledge of the bikes we were looking at went above and beyond. Kage is the reason I bought a bike from Barnes Blackfoot. Chantele in finance was also great! Very polite and made the numbers work! Thank you guys!

I was in a recent motorcycle accident and needed a shop to send my bike for insurance evaluation. I called up Barnes Blackfoot and Sierra in the service department helped me out. The bike was picked up next day but Blackfoot van, no charge. Bike was then assessed within a week and communicated promptly to insurance.
Thanks again to Sierra and the team for the great service!

Dealt with Devon and the finance Dept fellow Shaun if I'm not mistaken on the purchase of a new KTM 890 SMT. Whole process was smooth and pain free! Also a shout out to the fellow who does the delivery process out back, super personable and friendly! Drove down from Leduc to pick up the bike, probably my fifth purchase from this dealership and as always a great experience!

Took my kids’ PW50 in after ongoing starting and running issues. The shop found damage in the carb/throttle and oil buildup, cleaned everything, replaced the plug, and got it running properly. The bike now starts and idles as it should. Straightforward service and the problem was resolved.

Brought bike in at 9:00am as requested for a simple service and oil change. Was told it would be ready by noon. Had to return twice to finally get it at 3:00pm not washed (because by that time, I told them I did not want to wait any longer). Really not great service but they don’t really care, they’re the only game in town…
Update from 09-30-25: After my review, I received a reply from Barnes to write them directly with more information. I wrote them a detailed email of what happened only to receive a ''undeliverable'' message back... Emails sent to ''marketing'' are forwarded to a person who can't receive message from emails that are not in their contact list... Lol...

Bought a CRF300L from Barnes Powersports and had a great experience. Devon helped me out and his knowledge of motorcycles was excellent. He answered all my questions and made the whole process smooth and easy. Highly recommend asking for Devon if you’re looking for a bike!
