I have lived in Bowness for a lot of my life. But I have nevwr gone here, until last week.
Bowwest motors has always been there, but tue ownership has changed hands several times over the years. I always thought that because they were small, they would be quite expensive or focused on specific makes and models.
I needed a number of things fixed with my car, and it was suggested that I try here. I am very grateful for the recommendation.
They were quick and efficient in fixing my car. When I explained my situation to them, they were also able to work with me to find the right things in my budget. I had my car back in 2 days after leaving it there. Everyone was vary kind and helpful when I picked up my car.
For the ladies out there, this shop is a good place to go. Not once was anything "mansplained" to me, and they listened to me and treated me right. I know a lot of places try to take advantage of females, so definitely try going here.
They did nothing unnecessary, provide all my options and followed through. My car has never run better since I have owned it. You can't go wrong with having your car fixed here.

Update on my review. I have sent bowest motors a complete report from a competent mechanic in the area showing the fuel pump they installed on my car was in fact faulty. I am curious to see if they do in fact stand by their warranty.
I’ve updated my review to reflect a more balanced view. If you need basic services, like an oil change, this company might be sufficient. However, for more significant work on your vehicle, I strongly suggest seeking alternatives, as their mechanics lack competence. I spent $2,500 on repairs, and my car broke down again just 30 minutes after picking it up.
The front desk staff member was exceptionally unprofessional. He lost his temper with my girlfriend and, without provocation, made an inappropriate comment about my sexuality. The owner seemed to condone this behavior, dismissing it as a joke. In my view, it's never acceptable for a professional to comment on a customer's sexuality.
While their mechanics are friendly and their online reporting system is effective, I believe the owner and staff could greatly benefit from basic customer service training. With many better options available in the area, I recommend taking your car elsewhere.

Great reputation for service and customer care… lived up to the hype! They were very considerate, helped me garner the best option and only charged me for the service they provided, not a flat rate. They guys were super friendly too. Thanks for helping me out in a jam on the cusp of a long weekend!!!!

Great service for my daughter’s car. We arrived a whole week early for our appointment by mistake and they were super accommodating. I thought the communication was really Good and I felt like they made their best efforts to make sure the repairs were done properly for safety, but still conscious of a teenagers budget

Absolutely, amazing service. The boys at bow. West auto go above and beyond to make sure that I was happy.
I have a 03 gti vr6 which is my heart and the boys took unbelievable care of her.
She needed lots of work and the pros at bowest handled every situation with care and professionalism.
They communicated properly and advised me what the best approach would be.
I highly recommend everyone here.I will be taking all of my vehicles to these boys, and these boys only.

It an important to note that I wasn’t allowed to pay by the front desk attendant and was VERBALLY ABUSED instead. I took my vehicle here for an extremely loud squeaking sound and shaky car. The mechanics tried to sell me new tires and said there was nothing else wrong with the car. When I asked the front desk attendant what the mechanics checked, he became aggressive, refused to help and proceeded to call one of his coworkers an egregious insult in front of me. I left terrified. I took it to another mechanic and they diagnosed the problem in 20 minutes. The front desk attendant here is extremely degrading, unprofessional and scary and their mechanics have 0 diagnostic ability. Take your car literally anywhere else in the city and they will do a better job and your safety won't be at risk. Mint auto is only a few minutes away and they are lovely!

We were in dire straits and just happened to be close to Bowest Motors and managed to limp our vehicle into this business. Being from out of town we knew nothing about the service we could expect other than we felt lucky that someone there would likely help us. Let me say this; “there are still some really good people in this world” and, Bowest Motors is a perfect example to support that belief.
