I was referred to this shop by a relative who always uses this shop. I needed an out-of-province safety inspection on a vehicle I inherited. The inspection and work were completed in a timely manor, pricing was fair, and the owner Ray was super friendly & accommodating.I discovered that if ‘Ray’, is there and available, he will drop clients off at home who don’t have a ride when their vehicle is in the shop for the day.As it happened they had a little service vehicle not being used that day that he let me use :)Thank you for the great service Ray and crew!!

They got my truck in right away and they diagnosed and fixed the problem within two hours and gave me a courtesy car. Also I would have had to wait 20 days for any other mechanic to look at my truck. Amazing. Thanks again

I’m a retired heavy duty mechanic. Called this shop several times to enquire about cost for service. Whoever their service advisor is, I’ve never met someone so brash and unprofessional at a front desk. He clearly doesn’t have good people skills, he talks down to customers like they’re idiots. For this reason I will never take my cars here for work. Cannot comment on their mechanics but customer service makes or breaks it for me. I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

Unfortunately I cannot leave good ratings to a shop that diagnosed a brake shield noise as a PTU/transfer case($4,000 repair that would've been in vain) and completely missed a stuck injector & mentioned spark plug(pouring fuel into a DI engine like that can very quickly destroy it). Friend of mine basically gave me this car that was worth near $10,000 on the market because of their diagnosis. Took me 10 minutes to diagnose PROPERLY. Hey, I got a killer deal.Makes you wonder how many people have no idea how clueless most of these "licensed" shops/mechanics can be.

I've been to this shop twice. The younger guy with the pony tail has the worst customer service attitude I've seen in a long time. Looks annoyed that he's got to serve you. Last visit, they mounted two front tires onto my rims. When I picked up the car, all seemed fine until I went to clean my rims/shine tires 15 minutes later at home. There was a uniform scratch 180 degrees around one of the rims. This was not the condition of the rim when I dropped the car off. I've only owned the car for 2 months and know that the rim was not scratched like this. This was a new scratch - metal looks freshly scratched. I confronted the owner and he denied they had done it. He said his machine for mounting tires is plastic and there is no way that they could have done it. He said that the damage probably happened when I hit a pothole???!! How could a pothole cause a uniform 180 degree scratch on my rim??!! (See photo) The finish on my tires is fairly soft so I think it would be pretty easy to do this with the mounting machine no matter if it's plastic or not. I think the technician was not being honest about the mistake. These wheels are $1000/piece so this is very disappointing and won't be returning.

These guys were AWESOME. I had a small repair to do on my car. I called other places that all didn’t know if they could do the job or how much it would cost. I randomly pulled into this place, and they did it for me instantly. It was fast, cheap, friendly, and they knew exactly what they were doing. I am stunned how easy and painless they made this. Thanks!!!!

After months of going to another shop we were told there was nothing wrong with our car. We had a service done with Ray and his team and they discovered a loose wheel bearing and two loose tie rod ends. The car was dropped off at 7 am and finished by noon and I was also given a courtesy car given the work that had to be done and the fact I live in the deep south. Picked up the car to my surprise my bill was cheaper than expected which was amazing considering our circumstances. When I drove the car immediately heard no noise and a feeling of driving a new car all over again. I have known Ray and his team since 2008 and I would trust them and their work even if it means driving the extra kms. Appreciate the great work guys!!Services: Steering & suspension repair

Been having issues with vehicle stalling when trying to put in gear out of park (reverse). Will randomly happen during use during the day but most often first start of the day. Garage did diagnostics which had no alerts, they were able to put vehicle in gear numerous tries without issue (and started fine for me on pickup). Rather than guessing what may be the issue (unnecessary repair costs) they suggested a return if reoccurring in next few days with a vehicle stay over night so they can cold start and investigate from there. I have had repairs done here before and was satisfied. I was very appreciative of Ray's gesture of no charge for services today, this was beyond expected. Will definitely be a repeat customer and will recommend.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Decided to give this place a try after reading the great google reviews. Made an appointment for car tire swap and oil change for Wednesday morning at 8AM. When we went to drop off our car, made an honest mistake of driving in straight to one of their open garages (we are used to doing that from our previous auto shop, they preferred this for clients who already booked an appointment). The mechanic (I think possibly owner?) who was in there yelled at us angrily to back out instead of professionally directing us to park and check in. We would have gladly apologized and backed out promptly if we were given instructions in a professional manner, so found this completely unnecessary. We parked on the side of the building and proceeded to check in at the front desk, however, we could still hear the mechanic yelling and swearing (saying this is Fxxed up!!) which was very rude. We felt very disrespected at this point and wanted to cancel our appointment. I asked the clerk at the front desk to cancel our appointment, only to find out that our appointment was never booked in. We expressed our feelings of how we were treated and left. The clerk who was there agreed that the mechanic shouldn't have gone to such extremes (yelling, swearing) and said he will speak to him. We will take our business elsewhere!

Brought my vehicle here twice, the first time was good, then I had to bring it back a second time, thinking it might have been a bearing again, and I told them I heard a clunking noise. I brought it in, they told me they heard no noise but they sold me on fixing something on the opposite side of the truck and they said it was fixed. I picked up the vehicle and instantly heard the clunking noise again, they told me I would have to come back next week. I decided to fix it myself and discovered that they missed my CV axle broken in half, not a broken boot, but the axle broken in half, they also way over tightened my CV axle bolt. I brought in the truck for one thing to be fixed, they ended up fixing something that didn’t need work, and gave the truck back in unsafe working order.

I had the timing belt and water pump replaced. Job done quicker than expected for slightly less than estimate. They also noticed I needed new tires which was very true. I don't like giving out 5 stars, but there was nothing wrong.

The folks at Dalhousie Auto Service / Bumper to Bumper are not only skilled mechanics, but they are kind and generous members of the community, too. When a Ukrainian refugee family in the area was sold a car with hidden problems, and then their catalytic converter was stolen, Ray and Joel at Dalhousie Auto Service made it right. They worked with the family's budget, and made sure that an unsafe vehicle was made road-worthy. Can't say enough about their excellent service and their kindness. It was great dealing with a small, family-owned business that really cares about its customers.Services: Auto maintenance

Dalhousie Auto Service / Bumper-to-Bumper is a small, family owned business located in Dalhousie. They go the extra mile to help customers, and they have fair and reasonable pricing, better than any other shop I've visited in Calgary. I really appreciated the time they took to explain the issues the vehicle was having, and to give me a clear explanation so I could make a decision about what to do. They were generous with their time and their pricing, and they have a new loyal, life-long customer in me. Highly recommend!
