STAY FAR AWAY! This place is absolutely HORRIBLE! My boyfriend brought his vehicle there due to it being a Saturday and no where else was open. He was told $4600+ to rebuild the transmission and it would take 4 days so he would have to rent a car from a nearby place. Fast forward 4 days, his vehicle is still not fixed and therefore the rental will cost more. A week later(and $420 for a rental later) his vehicle was "fixed". So with the cost of the rebuild and the rental it was over $5k(the vehicle is a 2015 ford escape). A day or two later the engine light came on so my bf called them to make an appointment but then the light went off again so he canceled thinking it was a glitch. A week later right when my bf got to work at 6am(in the SE) the engine light came on again and his co-worker used his diagnostic code reader and it said "problem with the turbo/super charger underboost" and severity was 2/3 and to repair ASAP. My boyfriend went a mechanic right beside his work and the mechanic looked at the vehicle while my bf was working and took a picture and said that Calgary transmission did NOT hook things back up properly. ALL the intercooler piping clamps were loose, wire harness not put back in place and 2 sensors weren't plugged in all the way. The mechanic charged $150 to look at it and fix the stuff that wasn't done properly. We called Calgary Transmission and the owner or manager guy was very loud and snotty claiming they wouldn't pay the $150 and acted like it wasn't them who made those mistakes even though it WAS! HORRIBLE customer service on top of HORRIBLE "mechanics". The new mechanic said he would have had it rebuilt within 2 days and for a lot less money! On top of everything else, when my bf picked up his vehicle from Calgary transmission the gas was almost EMPTY! My bf has a sign stating that the vehicle has a gps tracking on it so the guy admitted that he drove my boyfriends vehicle to his HOME IN AIRDRIE!!! The "mechanic" claimed they drove it because they wanted to make sure it worked fine on highways too...WTF?

Took my Jeep there in 2018 for a rebuild. They took 3 months to complete the work (even though they confirmed they had the parts) and during the time my Jeep was there they managed to put a hole in the sidewall of one of my new tires. They replaced it with a bald tire and refused to replace the tire.

Went above and beyond to get my vehicle back on the road. Getting the part/s needed was proving near impossible, but the owner never gave up and eventually located the part/s. He also kept the price within the agreed upon quote. Excellent service all the way around. ?

This shop is a nightmare. My friend had his Nissan transmission rebuilt by this shop and it didn't last for 7,000 kms. The shop won't repair it under warranty and refuses to make this right.

I went to Calgary Transmission to get my transmission checked.First they tell me they can offer a ride back home, I had to bring one of the mechanic in my car to drive back home so they could bring the car back to the garage...They said they would call me back to let me know what's going on with the car and give me a price. I had to call 3 times in order to know what's going on with the car and have a price.I wonder what it would be if they say they will change a part, will they forget to put it back and I have to remind them?The day before when I called, I made sure they could give me a ride back home and either bring back the car or give me a ride back home (as mentionned on their website). Now the time to pick up my car, they told me they are only 2 at the shop so they can't leave. That is not my problem, but I had to manage having a ride there to have my car for the weekend. RIDICULOUS!! False promises!!!I had an awful experience, really don't recommand. I don't trust this company and I had to ride the car back home with the windows down to try and get this cigaret smell out!!!

The whole experience of taking my car was outstanding. Friendly people and a great, fast service. I needed a tire swap, oil change, and out-of-province inspection and they helped me schedule it and get all the work done quickly and thoroughly. They found ways to save me money rather than finding ways to gouge me, which has been my experience in the past with auto shops, and that really helped establish trust. I was dealing with a complete transmission failure and was under an insane amount of stress because of this. Mark made me feel like a human being rather than just another customer. He made sure I got the best scenario out of a bad situation and now my car is running better than ever. I will recommend this company to everyone I talk to!! Mark provided an excellent overview of the work required on our 2006 Honda Ridgeline -- and then helped us to think through what was most urgent, to complete immediately, and what we could defer to the future. Picked the truck up yesterday, it still drives like a dream! Brilliant service! Thank you!
