staff are excellent with assisting individuals, even when very busy with people dropping off excellent items for resale

Sadly they do not respect the community that supports them. I've found them to be quiet heartless and uncharitable to the very poorest in our community. I've even seen them upsetting new immigrants to Canada by being very unclear about the quality and cost of Canada necessities. Then these poor people are spending what little money they have on something that is overpriced. Very sad.

I can not recommend. They are greedy.
What can I say about Goodwill? Well this place they have gone to using the internet as a price guide. They will price say a Camera at a eBay price but THEY WILL NOT GUARANTEE unlike the eBay best offer (which will always be less because its best offer) and that is if anyone bought from them will guarantee it works or else a refund. With Goodwill its "Hey we don't understand the price will go down on eBay but we want the same price but no refunds either even though we got this item for LITERALLY free!!!"
Does this sound about right to you? So as a donateor what can you do? Give to INDEPENDANT thrift stores in your areas. Forget about Goodwill, Value Village and even Salvation Army. Any thrift store that tries to rip local people off by posting a internet price should be ignored.
UPDATE TO RESPONSE FROM GOODWILL: Excuse me but where did I say anything about you not being a "not for profit" in my review? You and Value Village donate a small percentage to charities to, promote you donate to charities and so you can get a tax write off. Sure Goodwill is not as bad as Value Village but the declared revenue alone from fiscal 2023 (Canada only) says you are not a for profit and your prices reflect this. So I suggest whomever replies to these reviews educate yourself more.

Offensive pricing.

This store charges hundreds of dollars for unmaintained furniture items that they got for free, when they are a tax-exempt company. Charging 600 dollars for a wooden divider screen is digusting. This is predatory and goes against what thrift stores are supposed to be. The pricing here is over market value for items and in some case they charge more than what some items are worth new. This isn't one of those resell/flip stores that actually put time and effort into cleaning and fixing products that they sell. This store is also full of resellers hogging entire aisles and yanking things off the shelves. Not worth it.

Good stuff mostly, needs severe organizing of the books as it will take customers hours just to look through the books they are looking for.

Used to be good but now its overpriced. This should have been a community store with prices that are affordable…considering how they literally sell these items which they got for free.

Great selection, clean and bright. I now shop almost exclusively at GoodWill since Value Village's prices have gotten out of control. Goodwill also offers change rooms, the Village does not.

Completely overpriced on electronics, clothing, movies, and video games. Management is unwilling to lower prices even when shown it is cheaper elsewhere, no goodwill here at this location. Lineups are frequent to cash out, and the change rooms are right next to the checkout, making it chaotic at times. We as a family would visit this location frequently but haven't been back for several months now. This is our first time back and Left our purchase behind, not willing to wait.

The person I spoke to was very helpful and kind ? , I have almost always had good experiences the few times I've called over the years looking for a specific item.

For sure would encourage people to shop here because the proceeds are for charity. On top of that, I always find something amazing here, very nice neighborhood donating some great quality items. Sometimes you can find things new and I've find something awesome I never knew I needed each time I go. The staff are really friendly with me and kids each time I go.

Is the Worst customer service over here used to be the hire the people with disabilities. They were really nice but now they are hire normal people and they are the worst so I asked them to put something on the hold. They say no. We don't do that although I have been into this branch and they always been doing like that before

Found some great stuff today. 2 pairs of Levi's, a perfect condition ribbed white tank and a super cute leather bodysuit.
This place has good quality vintage and on trend items and the cashier I dealt with was a lovely man. He was tall with a beard.
Literally 0 reason to step foot in Plato's Closet next door where everything is Shein and some of the staff are super rude.
