Absolutely horrible experience.
I didn’t want to write this review and held it back for 4 months, but it’s time I let my frustration out.
I wanted to buy a Hyundai Veloster Turbo, and this dealership had one listed. Since I’m from British Columbia, there was no way for me to test drive the car in advance, so I had to trust their word regarding its condition. That turned out to be the biggest mistake I made. They even took a $1,000 deposit before revealing the finance terms. And that eventually forced me into a bad deal with high interest rate as I was afraid of losing my deposit.
As for the car’s condition, I was told it only had “minor scratches from normal wear and tear” since it was a used car. But once the car arrived and I drove it, I realized how badly it had been misrepresented. I feel like I’ve been scammed into buying a complete lemon.
Here are the issues:
1. Air Conditioning – The AC didn’t work from day one. I had to spend $130 to get it checked, and the mechanic told me there’s a leak. He warned me the refrigerant would drain quickly and the repair would cost around $1,500. I still haven’t fixed it.
2. Wheel Alignment – The alignment was completely off. The car pulls so hard to the right that driving long distances makes your shoulders hurt. I’ve already paid for two alignments at Canadian Tire ($155 each) but was told it can’t be properly fixed due to damage from a previous collision. I was sold a car that can’t be properly aligned.
3. Extended Warranty Scam – I was forced into paying $1,644 for an extended warranty after being told it was required by the financing lender for loan approval. When I later contacted the lender, I found out this was a complete lie. I disputed this with AMVIC and eventually got it reversed. But before reversing it, the dealership told me that if I didn’t take the warranty, I would have to pay around $1,000 for delivery fees instead.
4. Cosmetic Condition – The exterior condition was far worse than advertised. The pictures on the website clearly hid the true state of the car. There is a massive scratch running from the driver’s side bumper to the rear wheel, covered with cheap, patchy paintwork. Multiple small dents surround the scratches. The “unique matte finish” they bragged about only highlights how poorly the car was reconditioned after its accident. The bumper is literally taped up internally, and the paint job is awful. I have photos as proof.
5. Headlights – The high-beam lights were completely worn out. Driving at night on highways was almost impossible because I couldn’t see anything. I had to replace them, which cost me around $160.
6. Interior Controls – Several buttons on the interior UI don’t work at all. I haven’t replaced the unit yet because it will cost me a ridiculous amount of money to fix.
And guess what, I haven't done a full car inspection with a mechanic yet - I wonder what else it would reveal.
Had I known any of this beforehand, I would never have purchased this car for $9,977 (plus all the unnecessary extra charges they added on). I should have known better than to trust an out-of-province dealer.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience with this company. Everything goes so well when they want your money, great communication, super friendly and prompt. But as soon as there is an issue, they ghost you and do not take care of you- why would they, they have your money now, who cares!
Dealt with Roger. This guy is the biggest avoider ever! Fluffs you off as soon as he gets your money. Called me time and time again while I was out of town to say goodbye to Grandmother but he obviously didn’t care as he spam messaged me and called me to sell me this car. I sent him a text asking if the car had remote start and a block heater- he said it did (have texts to prove) then we go to pick up the car and it DOES not have EITHER ITMES!!! he messed up and then stated how if I wanted these thing, I’d have to pay….another $600 had to be put through our sale for his mistake that he then tried to push onto someone else that works with him- stating he asked them to look for him to verify. So whatever, we buy it and express how disappointed we are in the fact that it is now on us to add those things he said it had.
As soon as we get the vehicle- we notice the back up alarm keeps going off every time we put the car in reverse when nothing is even there- we inspect and notice a sensor is completely gone off of the rear..we then STRUGGLE with Roger to even get him to help us with this missing sensor and nothing came our of it for having it repaired- he sent us a card to a shop to bring it in to have. Look that we had to schedule- not him.
Fast forward 6 mi the later and now the car has leaks galore! Again, Roger avoids our calls, doesn’t call us back, won’t send me the info to anyone higher up so that I can discuss the issues at hand that the shop has found for those issues that would have been present when they had the vehicle…..all these band aid repairs were done to the vehicle and now I’m paying thousands out of pocket because some stuff isn’t even covered by the extended warranty. I regret ever dealing with Roger and I feel he is just out here to get your money and then leaves you in the dust when there are clear issues at hand. EXTREMELY upset that we are not treated better as a customer and would LOVE to have someone contact me to discuss. I won’t be recommending coming here ever at this time as I could not with my current experience.

Excellent experience with this place and Alistair was very helpful and cordial. Wonderful customer service. As a female, I felt safe and that I was not being told anything dishonest, like I feel at some places. I got my car's CV boot replacement done for a lot cheaper than I expected as well. I'll be coming back here each time.

Roger was fantastic!
Not everyone in the car business is honest but this guy is. I had some issues with our vehicle we bought from Roger and he handled the situation like a true and honest professional.
I’m super happy with the vehicle we have and may buy another one off him in the near future.
