$5 for only 6 hotdogs buns!! Yes, That is not a typo...only six buns
Update: now $10 for 1/4 of a watermelon! Everybody should be upset about $40 watermelon!
Pay extremely high prices. Then go to the front where there is like 10 registers, but only 1 employees working, running both register and self checkout.... forcing everyone to scan and their own items like SLAVES to the company!
WE DO NOT WORK FOR YOU!!!!
SELF CHECKOUTS SHOULD BE CHEAPER IF YOU'RE GOING TO FORCE EVERYONE TO USE THEM!!!

Today we purchased a couple of plants from this location and had such a lovely employee help us! I believe the employee’s name is Zale. Zale was so unbelievably kind and brought us even more options that were already displayed. Zale then offered to wrap the plants we had chosen for free and put adorable curly ribbons on the packages! Zale then gave us some great recommendations for keeping the plants healthy. It was such a lovely experience and we truly felt Lis this employee to pride

I don't really like giving two stars to co-op. I enjoyed having the membership and the exclusives that came with it, but even those aren't worth it. At most these days your getting 50 cents or maybe a dollar off. With that half the stuff is still 2-3 dollars more than going to superstore or even shoppers drug mart.
Their produce section has gotten really disappointing. Spinach for 7-8 dollars and it was already bad days before the best before date. I look at the raspberries and blackberries when they're on sale and a lot of them have white fuzz growing prominently on them. Speaking of spinach the bags they sell are horrendously shorted. Fresh Express it terrible quality with low quantity.
I swear the only reason they have any business is because of the old folks communities nearby that grew up with co-op as a good store. They have no idea how much their being ripped off under the guise of "Oh it costs more but you're getting quality". Not anymore.
On a plus they have some of the best sushi rice you can find. Their bakery makes some really good cookies, cakes, muffins, and pies. Their international aisle is actually nicely stocked for the most part.
Sorry Co-op, but if you don't start trying to match up with shoppers or superstore you're going to go out of business. It's only old folks going to you and soon enough that customer base won't be around.

The exit from coop to southland drive . The pavement in the turning lane is again punched out and broken. It has been a recurring issue for several years..who ever is doing the repairs or the Super should be admonished for the shoddy repairs. How do we get it fixed.

The quality of the meat seems to be the best of the major grocery stores. Good sales and fair prices if you hunt them down.

I used to do 90% of my shopping here. Since the change of supplier the prices have been awful. I realize they are letting this location crumble while they build the new one but I don’t expect I will be back no matter how pretty they make it.
I do less than 5% of my shopping there now due to pricing and now shop primarily at Walmart and Costco even though I have to drive right by in order to do it.
I do still use the gas bar just because I can’t handle the 30 minute lineup at Costco.

Coop Calgary is super expensive but you get stuff here for Passover. Sometimes the sales are good.
