UPDATE- we had items that they can’t locate. We have reached out a few times asking where they are and each time we’re told they don’t know. This last time we were accused of trying to scammers? Saying we were lying about the items, even tho the original manifest that the movers provided us, had those items on it. All I want to say is don’t let there lower price fool you. Megan who works in the office is terrible, the worse service ever. I also don’t think our final bill was accurate. We purged a lot before moving and we were still billed at the highest rate quoted. At the end of the day we have learnt our lesson!Where to begin. We had our items picked up from Ontario July 23rd. We were guaranteed delivery within 6-10 business days. We have had zero communication with this company unless my husband or I called and we have called well over 50 times and have only spoken to someone maybe 5 times and 4 of those times we have been told they were not sure where our times were so we would get a call back to only NOT get a call back. I finally spoke to someone in dispatch yesterday (a male) to be told our items have not arrived and they are not sure where but they wouldn’t arrive this week but hopefully next week. I let them know this is now costing us money as we have moved into our new place with nothing, having to buy items in the meantime for my kids and us, the gentlemen said well it CN we’re dealing with, so nothing we can do… don’t waste your time. We are keeping track of all communication, keeping all receipts and have reached out to our lawyer. We are also going to be providing all receipts and expect compensation or legal action will be taken, don’t let all these random 5 star reviews within in the last 24-48hrs fool you!

STOP, do not hire this moving company if you want your furniture to be picked up and delivered on a certain day, do not hire this moving company if you want all your furniture to get to where you are going all in one piece, or at all. This has to be one of the most unprofessional moving companies in Alberta!! How can someone justify taking advantage of seniors, that are in their eighties, and destroying some of their most precious possessions, which can never be replaced; and then give them the royal run-around so they can put off having to deal with the damage they have done and the heart ache they have caused. Apparently this company and their employees, don't have parents or grandparents, because if they did, maybe, just maybe, they would have an ounce of compassion for my Sister-in-law and her husband!!! This company doesn't even deserve one star, but they don't have negative numbers!!!!

Movers showed up exactly when they said they would and were quick and organized. Communication during the move could have been better but it all got there in one piece and for a decent price. I was worried after reading some of the reviews but I was satisfied with the service

Do you want movers that arrive on time? Do you want movers who deliver your things on time? Do you want movers who actually deliver ALL you stuff? And do you want that stuff intact?LOOK ELSEWHERE.Holy this was the biggest mistake of my life to hire them.I saw some of the negative reviews but then I saw positive reviews to counter those and I STUPIDLY THOUGHT maybe it would be okay.Let's start from the beginning. My Husband and I were moving from BC to Saskatchewan. This was a larger move and I had surgery on both arms and could not lift the heavy things myself, so we planned to get a mover. I spoke to a few companies and this one had reasonable rates, I was an idiot and booked. Our move was supposed to be picked up on July 24th and dropped off 4 days later at our new place. I confirmed this would work twice before pickup and once when they delayed pickup. On July 23 we got the call the movers would arrive between 1 and 5, they then asked if they could not get there before 5 could we reschedule for the 25th. Now LUCKILY I planned this move in advance of the day we had to vacate but still, I planned it 6 weeks in advance and we had other things to do before the move so I said no, I booked for that day and needed it for that day.4:30 on July 24 I get a call, the mover "hurt his hand". They didn't find a replacement mover until the next morning. The 2 movers showed up, estimated the weight to be about half what the scale said. THESE PEOPLE MOVE THINGS FOR A LIVING YOU WOULD THINK THEY KNOW WEIGHTS?! But whatever, we expected a bill of around 8k.They moved our stuff, then told us the day off, we had to e-transfer a deposit to them, AFTER all our stuff was loaded. This was never mentioned before. These men packed our things HORRIBLY. Anything light and fragile was thrown in with things that should not be packed together. I found literal weights in with ceramic jars.On our move in day we called as we had not heard a confirmation that our things would be arriving on the 28th as planned and as they picked up a day late we were told it was more likely it would be the 29th our stuff would arrive but they would try for the 28th still.Well, they were nearly impossible to get ahold of. We had called for our invoice twice on the trip over to ensure a smooth delivery. We were passed around and they did not get back to us. Eventually they got sick of me and gave me dispatches number, who then informed me that they mainly serve BC, AB and so ON. I confirmed this move, selected a town in SK, let them know it was outside of the major cities of SK, was told its fine. They didn't have a truck. They wouldn't have a truck for another WEEK.So our pickup was delayed a day and that pushed drop-off a week later, which was later pushed another couple days. Basically anytime we called to follow-up it was another day or two later. When they FINALLY showed up they did not put all the big furniture into the rooms we requested and completely missed delivering our tabletop (*more to come on this). The driver complained about the roads, they came late in the evening and were there a few hours. We had things all over the place, and the heavy things were not all in the correct room.We unpacked our things, I am pretty sure some things are still missing but I can't remember exactly everything we had. I know a can opener is no where to be found.During the unpacking we were missing the tabletop, they had broken the $80 not even 1lbs coffee maker, the maybe 2lbs 120$ food dehydrator, ruined several collectibles(not that expensive but the point of it), and bent a 150$ desk corner up.All of this doesn't weigh enough to get covered, they ignored my emails in regards to it.When they finally found our table there are scratches, the paint is warped and THEY DIDN'T EVEN DELIVER TO OUR HOME. They claim because they got us 99.9% of things that we had to drive an HOUR to get the table. So they dropped it with my parents 5 hours away.DO NOT USE THEM! This was the most stressful move of my life!

Do NOT hire this company! We moved from manitoba to Bc. Our items were picked up on august.25th,2023. We were told a week max. After a week goes by we called everyday and didn't hear anything until sept.8th. At which time we were told the truck broke down and they didn't prioritize our shipment because we didn't pay even though we were told to pay when the driver arrives before they unload ( and we sent our draft aug.30. Double the amount they quoted us by the way we moved only with boxes and totes 1 bedroom set no couches nothing and our stuff was almost 7,000 pounds which is literally impossible)The driver didn't show up till the 12th and asked for help with unloading , both my husband and i have injuries ( hence hiring movers) driver got chuffed at us and started throwing loose items into our c can. When we was about to leave i asked him if he needed help unloading a large table saw he said he did it himself and made me sign all our stuff was there even though i knew it wasn't , he threatened not to leave. The next day as i suspected 6 items were missing, i couldn't get a hold of dispatch so had to call the main office ( joy was great) but when i got in touch with someone in claims they said they couldn't help me and they aren’t responsible for missing items. 2 days later they said they found them and they would be here on the 16th but didn't show up till yesterday both totes that arrived are completely damaged and had to throw out the contents and my baby cradle is broken that my great grandfather made me. When i told claims about this they said they aren't liable.Long story short these people do not care about your things, your time or your money. ! If you have any respect for yourself do not risk your items or your wallet with these people!

Joy is a great sales rep. Shaw and amir did a phenomenal job relocating my mom from ON to AB. If you want a stressfree on budget move then crosscountry movers is the perfect company for this

Very poor customer service after we took delivery, late by the way. Broken and damaged furniture, damage to our brand new home. Desk smashed so badly it couldn't be removed from wrap or truck.Only two movers sent to unload for a 3 bedroom home with basement and garage. One mover didn't understand English; therefore poor communication which caused the home damage.Told we had to submit claim within 10 days. I did. No response. We have checked in several times with the. Finally in disgust I threatened a bad review. Still no response. Cross Country Movers out of Calgary AB has no intention of honoring the contract agreement regarding insurance coverage.Too many other oddities and frustrations to mention.

It took them 2 days to deliver all of my items on separate trucks. All of my boxes were destroyed. My daughters dresser was literally ripped apart. Nearing the end of my boxes now and find they didn't even bring all of my stuff, at least 5 boxes are missing. They make no effort to contact customers when they will be later than the window given. Generally they are poorly managed, poorly dispatched, and poorly run with poor handling of items. My brand new floors now have massive amounts of deep scratches because the movers are not professional.

Do not use this company!!! It is one scam/joke after another. We used cross country movers to move my mom from northern AB to Humboldt, SK, a roughly 700km trip. They charge by weight. It was arranged to be a direct move. Things started out well, they showed up first thing Friday morning and loaded everything up with care. When they were leaving they informed my mom that they would be switching crews on their trip to her new house and that she would have different workers unloading. Not a problem. They left at 12pm, so they should have arrived by 8-9pm at the latest. No one showed up in Humboldt. The contact number she was given was the original mover and he was not answering the phone and had no voicemail. There was zero communication and at midnight she accepted that they weren’t coming. On Saturday we called the company multiple times before anyone answered and they told us they couldn’t get ahold of the movers and couldn’t provide an update on when her stuff would arrive. Saturday afternoon after many more phone calls they finally told her the movers went back to Calgary with her stuff and wouldn’t be delivering until Monday at the soonest. Monday rolls around and we didn’t hear anything until 12pm when dispatch called us to tell us the truck had broken down near Wainwright (which is no where near the route from Calgary to Humboldt) and they had to tow the truck to Edmonton and see if it can be repaired because they didn’t have another truck available and would only provide one as a last resort. Several hours later they let us know they would be delivering Tuesday afternoon now.The movers did show up promptly on Tuesday. It was originally agreed upon that they would unload everything in the rooms as they had found it and that’s one of the main reasons we had choose this company was for the comfort of knowing she wouldn’t be hauling everything through her new house afterwards. However, they threw all the boxes in the front entrance with zero care. Fragile boxes were placed upside down and sideways. Nothing was placed in the respectively labeled rooms. When they moved the deep freeze downstairs (which is the only item they took down there) they had it upside down!!! She ended up having to fight with the movers to set up her bed frames, to the point that she had to refuse to sign the paperwork until they set them up.They told her she had 8000lbs worth of stuff which couldn’t possibly be true. She had two bedroom sets, a couch, loveseat, sofa chair, several stands/desks and a deep freeze along with 25 boxes from her kitchen and closets. Zero kitchen furniture or other appliances. A small 30” riding lawn mower that only weighs 350lbs. That’s it’s. Not near enough to add up to 8000lbs.This was easily the worst experience with a moving company ever.
