This dollarama was amazing it had everything I wanted plus the staff were very helpful. They went to great length to help me find everything I wanted. I'm a black man, they didn't even follow up and down aisle like I was going to steal that means a lot to me they actually treated like I was a regular customer. I told all my brothers that this dollarama doesn't discriminate against black men, they make us feel like we are thieves. All the other dollarama drop everything they are doing to follow us up and down each aisle to the point where we are like do you want to hold our hand? They make it so obvious, they are 3 to 4 staff following us all around the store until we finish shopping then once we join the line to pay or leave the store they resume their regular duties. It's a waste of time for us to complain we just allow them to do what they do best which is racially profile and discriminate but this dollarama doesn't do that. Maybe after I write this post they will start. I'm joking I hope not. It felt good not being racially profiled or discriminated against for once. As we we expect it in Alberta, Calgary, it becomes something that we are use to. But its not right we are living in a different day and age now. Thank you to this dollarama for not discriminating or racially profiling against black males it means a lot to us. We the black community appreciate you. Thank you!!

21 October 2025 The salesperson girl refused to serve us at the checkout. She sent us to have our items scanned at the self-checkout. We had problems with that. Since the self-checkout wasn't working properly, there was always an error. The service at this dollarama is 0.

Store staffs fine great location. Stephen ave is wonderful while visiting, does seem to get alot rifraf hanging around McDonald's and several spots along this ave.

Pretty shitty employee, my brother rode his bike to the store and had left it at the top of the stairs just inside the doors, off to the side and out of the way. Then walked down the stairs into the entry of dollarama. He had only grabbed a drink and as he walked over to self check out, an employee came up to him and said we don’t allow bikes in our store, mind you the bike had not ENTERED the store at any point and was still at the top of the stairs by the wall. My brother being a nice kid said okay I’ll just buy this drink and leave and the employee started bickering at him saying “um I don’t know about that” and giving him a hard time about the bike, even though he said he would leave right away. Pretty ridiculous as he was in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes and was harassed and almost was denied purchasing a drink. Teach your staff some manners and respect, if you don’t allow bikes at the top of your stairs there’s a way to tell people that politely without being hostile, or better yet get a sign.

How they gone have bags that cost more than the item do better dollarama it’s not even dollarama anymore there is others stores like Walmart and even Home Depot that sell stuff cheaper than this place

1 - place smells of pee; 2 - lots of drug users hang out at entrance; 3 - Prices on shelves don’t match what is rung in at tills. Brought this to attention of employees and they didn’t even bother to fix the problem.

A smaller store with less selection than the large Dollarama shops, but still worthwhile and well-maintained. Unfortunately, down a long staircase to access.
