A friend highly recommended the 17 Ave SE First Choice Hair Salon location. After years of struggling to find a good hairstylist, I finally found my match. Kelly cut and styled my hair, and she did a fantastic job, delivering exactly what I wanted in no time. After my second visit, I wanted a bit more volume, and she promptly adjusted the style to perfection. Despite the long drive to the salon, I’m more than happy to make the journey because Kelly's skills and commitment to achieving the ideal hairstyle for her clients are truly exceptional.

Took my Grandson to get a long overdue haircut... I showed the lady the picture of the haircut my grandson picked. Nothing special... short on the sides, longer on top.
The cut looks ok... just a bit choppy. I mean, my son and grandson didn't care. Hair grows and it wasn't horrible or anything.
I was going to give first choice another try and get a haircut at the same time but once I realized that the only other person working was on lunch in the back...I decided not to bother her. After seeing the choppy cut I am happy I didn't.

I love this place i have been going for many years.I was horrified to learn that the old owner walked out and took all the supplies from the salon in the middle of the night and disappeared and never told her staff anything and left owing her employees thousands of dollars.The employees at forestlawn stuck it out and there are new owners.If you want a amazing hair cut come and see the staff here there are amazing.

Exactly what I needed; no bright lights and pomp and circumstance. The shop is clean. The hairdressers are the good aunties that know their craft. She will do exactly what you ask for, without waiting and well priced. I had a bunch of bad cuts from other people, so very happy to find them. Will be back

Upon sitting chair & getting covered, could smell something stinky, what is compared to as wet mouldy cloth, like a forgotten dish rag. Needed cut bad so was glad done quickly, though not the best cut ever. Went home and showered for 2nd time that day.

I really liked my haircut by Rina! The haircut ended up exactly as I described. There wasnt any styling because I chose just the cut option but when I got home and styled it myself, I loved it even more. Definitely will come back for Rina.

I walked in at 4:45pm (they close at 5) and asked for someone experienced with thinning & trimming thick & curly hair, shoulder length and if they could fit me in before close, as I HAVE NEVER ever found someone who does a good job, in my 36 years of life. Rina didn't oversell herself, in fact she undersold herself and said "I can do it but don't want you to be mad at me". I said "let's do it! I won't be mad either way, I just want the weight off as it's so heavy!". She was done in 10 minutes and it's the best thinning I've ever had!! It looks and feels incredible!! 100% recommend Rina!! I'm so glad I found her!
