Unethical and Dangerous-damaged many tires without disclosure.
In the Fall of 2024 I brought my car here for a tire changeover. On my way to the mountains from the shop, the tire was wobbly and unbalanced. I stopped in at Cochrane Fountain Tire, and fixed the balance for me, telling me it was way off.
Spring of 2024 I took my car to Crowfoot FT, as I have used both of these shops for over a decade. They called me to tell me that the tread on my all seasons was too shallow and that they wouldn't install them because they were at risk for blow out. Something didn't add up, because this was the first I heard of it. When picking up my vehicle, I asked for the tires back which surprised the Crowfoot team, and then as they wheeled the tires out they said "oh by the way there's also a tear". This is relevant because it would have been Bowness that tore the tire. I took my tires and vowed never to return to Fountain Tire for the dishonesty. I purchased new tires at Costco and had them installed for the summer.
Fall of 2024, I bring my (FT winter tires) in to Costco to have them swap them over. I get a call that they cannot install the winters because there are tears on the tires. Initially thinking it might have been Costco's fault they offered to pay to replace the torn tires. I was told today that the tears are consistent with overstretching with inadequate lube, which would have been done in the Fall of 2023 when the tires were installed by Bowness FT. Which means that I was driving on ripped tires for the whole winter last year.
I don't like leaving negative reviews, but in light of the very dangerous practices or incompetence of the Bowness Fountain Tire I feel compelled to warn others. I totally understand that things happen, and that sometimes damage occurs, the most concerning part is that it was smoothed over and ignored. I was told by other technicians that it is quite obvious when a tire is torn. I would not recommend this fountain tire or the Crowfoot Fountain tire for this reason, and I will copy this review over to their page as well.

I’ve always had a great experience at this location but on my most recent visit Nic really went above and beyond to help me out! I was in to get my tires retorqued but he helped me troubleshoot an unrelated issue and put my mind at ease!

Just picked up our newer car. I was smart and booked winter tire switch over back in July. I felt kinda bad because some guy walked in demanding they switch his tires immediately. I wasn't actually there but girlfriend told me. Anyway, they handled it pressionally that's not why I'm writing. I had my own great experience here for the second time. First was just a rotation and alightment on my truck. It was done quick and perfect and didn't break the bank. Back in July we got a second vehicle and I got suckered into winter tire package from dealership. Longer story short. Needed winter 19' rims still and got a quote way back in summer and booked appointment for today. Experience was super smooth and got beautiful new rims and tps sensors installed and all mount and balanced. They knew exactly what would look cool. Totally kept my appointment and price the same was in and out in couple hours and could not be happier. This is my new go to place for car and truck stuff. They do more than just tires lol. Anyway great customer service, pricing, and quality work. Tyvm local fountain tire people. You got new custy for life:)

Do not take your vehicle here* If it was just one thing I could overlook it but took my car here to do a simple tire swap with new tires. Got the car back and all tires were inflated to 50PSI, almost 20PSI over the recommended pressure. 1 week later massive bead leak in a tire, broke the bead to see a tire sticker left in the bead from the shop. Lastly kept getting up sold on a brake pad replacement stating critically low, another shop determined there is plenty of pad left.

Brad, Michelle, and the rest of the team are phenomenal! I had to book an appointment right before a long weekend and totally expected to be without a car for at least a few days, and they had everything done the same day as my appointment, were very friendly and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure I’d have a working vehicle again.

I highly recommend this shop. It's nice to see real customer service again. Scott went way overboard to find new rims for our car. He would not release the car until he was personally satisfied which is very rare in today's rush society.

Our trailer tire blew out on Stoney Trail last week. We put on the spare and limped to Fountain Tire to get it properly torqued. Will met us outside, got us all sorted, inspected our spare and other tires, and offered his expertise and advice. We left for the rest of the workday feeling safe and well taken care of! I am an Automotive Technician at another Fountain Tire location out of the city. I came to the city to help my dad fix his truck and upon opening the parts he received we found two small but very important gaskets missing. I was on my way to a parts store and noticed their shop so I stopped in to say hi. They had what I needed and helped me out so I could get the job done. Scott was very friendly and definitely saved our day. With a friendly and knowledgeable staff like this I would highly recommend these guys for your automotive and tire needs. Keep up the great work guys!

I appreciate and am thankful for the work that was done on my car at this Bowness location as a result got ??and a A+ rate in Ontario recently moved there and had to get a safety check done, no additional work was needed,
The workers at this location are the best, from the phone call to book an appointment to getting back my car after the work was done - friendly, professional, and awesome customer service.
