I had gotten a turtle beach wireless headset from them about a week ago and it was supposed to be an Xbox version but they gave me a play station and pc version when I went there today the guy tried to argue with me and say that it was an Xbox version even though I looked it up before I had left my house he then tells me that they can’t trade it in I have to send it to turtle beach and get it entreated out for a new one from them never spending my money there again

I love this store, best one in Calgary hands down. All the staff are amazingly trained and knowledgeable but Sergio has gone above and beyond multiple times for us - answering questions, checking the systems, walking us through the best options to meet our needs. I’m never disappointed visiting this GameStop!!

Staff was rude. They complained about a two-year-old grabbing a balloon... truly unbelievable

Jésus is an extraordinary example of customer service and making customers feel welcome. They helped me with my preorder and pick-up of Pokemon Legends ZA and handled the busy store with confidence and practiced professionalism; handling customer needs with ease. They go the extra mile, making sure you are satisfied before you leave the store. Thanks for making the game purchasing experience so awesome!

I went to EB Games today and had one of the worst customer service experiences I have seen in a long time. I stood in line for 10 minutes before the cashier finally told me the lineup was supposed to start at a sign in the back aisle. Fine, I followed the rule and went to the sign, standing a few steps ahead since I had already been waiting and the person at the counter was nearly done.
Then this guy strolls in after me, plants himself right at the sign, and barely even looks up from his phone before declaring he was first. He had been behind me the entire time, but apparently scrolling endlessly allows him to ignore reality and act like the world owes him first place.
The cashier, who clearly knew him by name, immediately sided with him as if his word meant more than other paying customer’s time. Instead of applying fairness, the staff indulged their buddy’s little act and pushed me aside.
It was unprofessional, pathetic, and insulting. If this is how EB Games wants to run their stores, they may as well put up a sign that says “lineups don’t matter if you know us.” Customers deserve respect, not to be shoved aside for someone who spends his life glued to a screen and can’t even acknowledge what is actually happening around him.

Is it custom for GameStop to put a used controller in a controller box and pass it off as new? Didn't want to go back to this particular gamestop because I've had several problems with products from this store. Back in December 2024 I had purchased a headset and controller as a gift for a family, they sold me a warranty on the headset, (was told to me by another manager at a different location they are not supposed to sell warranty on headset and when I took this headset back due to some defects I was told to contact the manufacturer) The controller i had returned due to some defects with stick and headphone jack, was traded with a controller that was priced as new and labeled as new. Yet when I gave it back to my sister she opened it, the thumbsticks were very dirty and 2 of the buttons get stuck very easy. I am very upset with the overall products coming out of this location. The staff on the other hand are very wonderful, except when I was sold a warranty on a headset that they weren't supposed to sell me.

The best GameStop in the city! The two guys working this evening (forgot to ask for names) were so so amazing and helpful, they pulled through for us on an impossible request.
Thanks so much!! This store is now 100% our go-to store.

Nice staff and they had a very varied selection of ps4/ps5/xbone/xbsx games compared to some other locations! Will return!

I had a great experience at the GameStop in Chinook Mall. I brought my two little boys—one’s five, the other’s six—and they loved it. They’ve got some really cool toys, especially the Pokémon stuff, and this hilarious robot cockroach that we all thought was awesome.
We spent a while checking out the new Switch games, and it was just a fun place to browse. The staff were a bit quiet—not super outgoing—but still helpful enough. The store itself is great, though.
Honestly, I’d rather come here and buy games or toys in person than order online or download them. It just feels better supporting a real store like this, and it’s way more fun for the kids. Definitely worth the stop.
