Great customer service! I had ordered a gift card online, thinking I would get an e-mail gift card as I needed it the next day as a gift for someone. After I placed the order, I realized they didn't offer e-mail delivery. When I called to inquire about this, they offered to deliver it in person. Much appreciated! Thank you very much.

I love stopping by Garden Retreat! I have purchased many house plants and pots from them, as well as a few annuals and veggies for the garden. I don't have a green thumb at all but my house plants are thriving and very healthy.
I have called with questions before and always receive expert help, prices for plants are reasonable but some accessories are more expensive which is to be expected. I don't mind paying more here to support local, and the experience beats big box stores any day, it's actually enjoyable to browse around.
A family member bought a greenhouse from here many years ago and it's held up very well over time and they love it. I would highly recommend going here because they're great people!
It's really close to public transit 🚌, so that's nice if you don't have access to a vehicle all the time. Two wishes are that they are open later on weekdays and they had more selection for an online store or local delivery.

Great staff and very health and reasonably priced plants. I love the size of your greenhouse because of my disability not allowing me to walk miles in a larger greenhouse.

The space is ample. in addition to plants, the store has accessories like pots and side tables. statues, soil, fertilizer, and year-round flora like cacti.
Aside from the array of seasonal plants, the staff are knowledgeable and clearly love their work.
One time in the past, I wanted to get advice on how to best propagate a begonia from a leaf and detrmine the type of begonia it was. I got exceptional guidance: begonia is thriving!
Today, Laura helped me find a replacement tomato plant. While we could not locate the type I wanted, she confidently recommended another. I have every reason to believe that it will be amazing.
The very helpful cashier assisted in packaging the tomato plant so that it would reach its destination intact on my bike handle protected from the weather.

They have a large selection of pots and planters year round, great place to pick up a hostess gift. The staff are helpful, and a valuable source of advice. Always our primary choice for anything garden related.

The staff have always been friendly and helpful but I must have caught the owner on a bad day because he was moody and irritated. We all have our bad days but I noticed his tone when speaking to both his staff and to me, a customer.
The store does offer items and supplies that other garden centers do not, but the experience put a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning.

The best garden center in Calgary in my opinion. Everyone seems to be knowledgeable about their products and gardening in general. Prices are fair and they have a good selection. Never a bad experience.
