I also have family in Red Deer and they really would like a store brought back. Alot after people wonder why you closed the one store down in Red Deer

They have accused me of stealing lip gloss when I never went near the lip gloss aisle they started judging me and giving me look for me and my friend that I was with me, I did not appreciate that so I left they were extremely racist towards me and my friend they held so much rudeness.

I used to go to giant tiger all the time. Since they took out the big selection of kids clothes, I had to look elsewhere to find all my grandsons clothes. since they revamped the store. Considering I loved and told everyone else that's the only place I shop. I'm very sad,

Worked there for 11 months.
The old manager was wonderful. The new one is rude, arrogant and self centred. I would never go back to work there. I rarely go there to shop.

I went to Giant Tiger to return a product, and I was absolutely shocked by the RACIST and RUDE treatment I received from two white ladies at the counter. From the moment I walked up, they both made it clear they didn’t want to help me. One of them barely even acknowledged my presence, and when she did, it was with a cold, dismissive attitude.
As I explained I was there for a return, the other employee treated me like I was a nuisance, throwing passive-aggressive comments and giving me dirty looks. They were slow, unhelpful, and made what should’ve been a simple return as difficult as possible. The worst part was that while they were rude and dismissive to me, I saw them being friendly and polite to other (white) customers.
It was clear this wasn’t just bad customer service—it was RACISM. Their behavior was disgusting, and I overheard one of them making a racist remark to the other as I was leaving.
I will NEVER be coming back to this store, and I urge anyone who values respect and dignity to avoid Giant Tiger. This kind of racist behavior has no place anywhere, especially not in a store that’s supposed to serve all members of the community.

Always loved shopping here and depending on what I'm looking for giant tiger can and has proven its pricing is pleasant on the wallet on specific items. But if you need a single banana on the fly, they've got you covered.

Roman Q was my cashier. He bagged my bread on the bottom with everything I bought on top of it. My bread is squashed. Thanks Roman! Whole store always smells like pot, shady area, totally needs a re-do or move locations. Always see new staff here, high turnover. Parking lot is a nightmare since Timmies drive-thru came along. There is some good deals on clothes, but some really high prices on them. Anyways got to go out again to buy more bread.

This is the only giant tiger in Calgary.
Very messy store, i feel dirty when i go in this store. Much to cramed up for their items, barely any isles room for customers to pass each other.
Good place for local farmed chicken but the steak is trash; however the chicken prices have gone from 1.0++ kg of chicken prices at roughly $12.00. now it's only 0.7++ kg of chicken for closer to $13.00. this is absolutely ridiculous & does not fit their vision of being low budget

Always find good sales, decent prices otherwise. Not a large selection, sometimes out of what I went for. Great for work pants. Has scrubs too!
