This cornerstore criminal tried to rob me and charge me twice the amount for my uhaul. Also the vehicle itself hardly worked and was worrysome to say the least. he insisted it wasn't his fault that he had charged me for 4x the distance we used and that we had to call uhaul to get it resolved. After 3 days of calling uhaul customer service I was finally reimbursed. no thanks to him. DONT GET A UHAUL HERE. GO TO ONE OF THE PROPER LOCATIONS.

My friend had a money transfer not go through and he can’t speak English so I went in with him to see what was going on and the owner was extremely honest. The transaction didn’t work and he was happy to see my friend again so he could return his money. Honest people are a dying breed!

On 18th of August, 2023 I booked my reservation (#11056177) for a 9 ft Cargo Van at G-Mart Convenience location on 1818 14 Ave NE, Calgary, AB T2E 1GS.When I arrived at the above mentioned location, I found the dealer to be closed. I waited from 11 AM to 12 PM but the dealer never opened. I called the store number several times but no one picked up. I called UHaul customer service afterwards and explained my situation and they informed me the only other nearby 9ft Cargo Van or any other truck available was at Airdrie (85 Lake East Cr. NE, AB T4A 2H6 ) which was a 40 minutes rental transport drive distance from my home at Calgary. I ended up wasting my time, both at GMart location and then travelling to and back from Airdrie. I had to hire another vehicle to take me to Airdrie which cost me money and mileage on my UHaul 9 ft Cargo Van when returning.I had been planning this move for a long time and it is extremely disappointing that I received such service from the UHaul dealer (G-Mart Convenience) at the last moment. Alongside the aforementioned damages, the incident caused me a great deal of mental stress.Such an unprofessional UHAUL dealer! I am taking all the steps that I can do to create public awareness so that UHAUL can take necessary steps about the extremely poor service of this dealership.

New management took over in mid 2018, and is likely the most personable shop owner you'll ever meet. He is actually there HIMSELF; you get served by the owner, no one else. A wide selection of goods and services, from Western Union money order to U-Haul trucks. From milk to pop. Cigarettes to cough syrup. There is a good chance it will be here.
