Lived with (not happily) a very expensive memory foam bed for eight years before checking out Halstead. So happy to now have invested in a bed that allows us to customize comfort levels side-to-side and top to bottom. And best thing is we can update the comfort whenever we need/want to. Never heard of "building" a bed that is right for both of us and am so happy to have learned about it. We also decided on the adjustable frame and am loving the zero gravity setting. Thanks to Marty and team for a great experience that keeps on giving!

I had an exceptional experience with Halstead, largely thanks to Juliana’s outstanding service. Her knowledge and patience in answering all my queries made the buying process smooth. The mattress’s modular design, catering to varying body pressures, is genius. Additionally, the hassle-free replacement of a section to a firmer one after a few weeks showcased their commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, top-notch service and a product that truly caters to individual needs!

Best Bed Ever! Custom designed so my husband has a softer mattress on his side and I have a medium firm on my side. Remote controlled head to raise your head and feet to the perfect position with Massage! We are happy returning customers. Owned our Halstead king sized bed for the past 18 years. Not many folks I know have owned a bed for that many years. A tremendous bed. Recently replaced our foam inserts with a new cover made to measure. Martin the owner and Natalie, Sales associate provided us excellent customer service. Happy to know we will enjoy our Halstead bed for another 10 years!

Bought a couch a few years back from halstead. We were happy that we were able to find somewhere that could build us a couch to fit our tight space. These guys were amazing. Loved the couch.

Never have a ever struggled so much with a mattress purchase. From day 1. The # of springs in the panels didn't match the length of the bed. I took it back once, and when I brought it home the length was still short. When I was moving, I ended up unzipping the headboard back fabric, and there were chicken bones in there. The pillow top is also too big for the 6 spring panels, and goes down on the sides. And the most annoying part, it slouches down in the middle, no matter which way I put the spring panels. I paid way more for this specialized mattress and I didn't even get 2 years of good use. So mad. No only that, it seemed like he led my elderly fall on for a potential sales job opportunity.. :(And in response to your troll comment below, this was actually my experience. I'm sorry but it was. I love a small business as much as the next.

I bought a mattress at Halstead last month and was very happy with the process. They were able to rush through my order in just a week, and threw in a free $80 item to help with my disability. Yes, the price is a bit higher than a factory store, but not by much and the quality and service you get are definitely superior. I did a fair bit of research before getting my mattress, and the owner, Martin, was specifically named in forums as being a mattress expert.That said, I do NOT recommend using the moving service Halstead is partnered with. It took them several days to make the delivery, and then they completely botched the mattress assembly. My father had to take it apart and start from scratch. Also, the city dump provides mattress recycling, so there's no need to spend a ton of money on the moving company taking away your old one.

We purchased a custom mattress and absolutely LOVE it! We sleep like babies! Designed soft on my side and firm for my hubby’s side, best bed ever and it will last a lifetime! I can also add the pillows are exceptional too! I’ve had mine for 5 years now and it still has its bounce! Thank you for the quality mattress and pillows!

The art of customer service seems to be lost in a lot of businesses today, but at Halstead they know how to look after their customers! They have great products and great people working there. I am so happy with my purchase of two mattresses and a couch from them.

I have had nothing but incredible interactions with Halstead staff and ended up with furniture I love. When moving into a new home with my husband, we wanted something simple, affordable, but well made - and that is exactly what we got! We worked closely with Martin to pick a couch and a mattress/headboard/base set that worked within our budget. My favourite part is that the fabric is machine washable, making it easy to clean up after our fur babies.Can't wait to purchase more from Martin and the Halstead team in the future.

I absolutely love my Wall Bed from Halstead! As a University student living in a dorm room, I didn't have a lot space for a bed. Thankfully though, Natalie and Martin were able to create me a custom Wall Bed that fit perfectly in my unique space. In only a few seconds, I am able to transform my bedroom into a functional office space with a large couch. Halstead made the process extremely easy for me, I'll definitely be buying more custom furniture from them in the future.

Marty, Michelle and their team were super easy and knowledgeable to deal with from day 1. From finding the right construction of mattress for me, to picking a design and material for my custom headboard and base. The quality and workmanship of both the King mattress and the headboard/base setup is extremely detail oriented. I highly recommend Halstead for any of your home furniture needs, they have earned my business for life

I have mixed feelings about this review as similar to some of the other reviewers we have been return customers to Halstead. We have had three separate dealings and overall have been great. Our first was refinishing a reading char for our child's room which we love and use every night. We had such a good experience with them that we had a custom bed frame made through them and it was also beautiful and we still love the bed frame. Both of these transactions would have been 5 stars.What is troubling to me is our most recent project, we recently moved into a new home and had some dining chairs recovered with them. Again, everything went well during our consult and the build process. However, when we got the chairs home we had a closer look and found some areas of fabric that looked worn/damaged and not up to the quality and finish we have become accustomed to with Halstead. My wife reached out to the store through email and telephone multiple times and we have never heard back. The only time she was able to reach someone at the store she was told "they were fine when they left" Suffice to say I find this concerning as I have said we have been repeat clients over the years and assumed our concerns would be at least heard from the store. In looking through some more critical reviews I also find it interesting the owner only seem to respond to positive reviews.Overall, I can whole heartedly say I am very disappointed with Halstead, we love our previous two items and are generally happy with our new chairs but are not pleased with the way our concern has been dealt with. I am a firm believer that is not how you start, but how you finish. We have a number of additional re-upholstery projects but given our recent experience it is unfortunate that this was likely our last dealing with Halstead as we really did have positive experiences up until now.*** Update***Adjusted review to three stars as company has reached out. Personally feel that this response was only prompted by my review. Unfortunately, for us this is just too little too late and the service and communication that we experienced was not what we expected as return customers. Wish this company the best in the future as they are capable of creating fantastic furniture.
