Well, my post is different. I was a proud employee at the downtown store for 20 years. 1993-2013. While there, we strived as a store and a team, to provide the most excellent customer experience. I worked on the 5th floor; Major Home Fashions. It was a booming time; Customers were happy; staff were happy. When we were Canadian owned, they Company greatly cared for us staff, which many of us appreciated. Many fond memories, and lots of laughs. It would nice if retail business could recapture those times.

Phenomenal service at the watch/jewellery repair!!!
Fixed my watch within 10 minutes and refused to let me pay.
10/10 recommend.

Place has been temporarily closed since the beginning of July due to HVAC issues. Would be surprised to ever see it open again.

I had the absolute pleasure to talk with Adele (in the Jewellery Department) today. She is phenomenal!
My students got me a necklace for my birthday. After wearing it for less than a week, the chain snapped. I knew it was from Hudson’s Bay but I didn’t have a receipt or even a box. I was so sad and I knew my students would be heartbroken if I didn’t wear it to class. I went in today to buy another chain. Adele and the man in the Men’s Jewellery Department were very kind and went above and beyond to help me! After measuring the old chain and trying a few, Adele took me to the counter to pay. I expected to pay entirely for the chain but to my absolute surprise, she exchanged the snapped chain for the new chain! She was so helpful and one of the nicest ladies I’ve ever spoken to! I will always be coming here for my jewellery needs and sending everyone else here too! The store is lucky to have Adele!

Used to be decent but this is truly the saddest Bay in the city. Half that escalators work meaning you need to wait for the slow elevator to get down from the third floor. Many change rooms are closed and you need to wander around to find one that's open. It's dying a slow death and really just needs to be put out of it's misery.
