Ordered my mom’s Christmas gift in mid November and still haven't received it (Dec 29). Contacted them and was told they don’t know where it is and the item is no longer available in her size in my city to purchase. So not only was my mom without a gift on Christmas but I now have to order from somewhere else…which will take even longer. The best part? I ordered them on sale and will now have to pay full price. What did they offer for my inconvenience? $20 in credit for a store I will no longer be shopping at after this experience. Terribly disappointing experience from a Canadian company. Do better.

I LOVE Simons. I have shopped between different locations in BC, Alberta & Quebec for a few years now and I find their service is consistently good.
I love the option of middle to high end shopping experience. Their staff leaves you alone (which I appreciate!) But if you look lost they generally notice... Their home section is SOOO CUTE, the decoration items are like a much more tasteful IKEA & the prices are similar. I always find something in the home section I want.
**I had an AMAZING experience yesterday with Janetta Armah at the Calgary "the CORE" location. (#030436). She noticed I needed help, answered all my questions & made sure I was getting all the benefits from my points too! I saved over %30 on my purchase, I was shcoked! You can tell she was trying to ensure I had a good experience. 6 stars for her.**
I have to say: the other reviews from shoppers about the staff being rude I believe are from people LOOKING to find things wrong with where they are shopping. 1. Some people don't understand how customer service works because they have never worked in retail & they go around looking for their butts to be kissed.
2. Simons has this amazing experience as it is a french retail store. The culture is slightly different but it is NOT rude. I can understand how most of the feelings of the staff "being rude" come from people being intolerant of this difference in culture.

100% Canadian and 100% family owned - means more unique styles and items for the home. Donates to local charites regularly. Mark downs can mean crazy sale prices if your timing is lucky. Easily the best department store in Canada.

Felt really unwelcome. There was a client before me while I was waiting at customer service. The client and the employee chatted it up for quite a bit, talking about the items and tbh no regards to my time. The employee checked the client out asked them “did you want a bag?” Before they cashed out and once again after they paid their bill.
When I picked up my order, the employee immediately asked if I needed a bag for 15 cents. I declined but asked - what level of member would I need to get a free bag. The employee said no level received free bags. I asked if the client before me was an employee since he didn’t pay for the bag and the employee serving me stuttered then said yes. It seemed like the employee was caught in a lie. Either way, a really off feeling.
Wish this wasn’t the only Simon’s in Calgary.

I love this store most of the time, but recently went in and found the staff to be extremely rude and inattentive. Items were incorrectly priced and instead of apologizing or honouring the listed price they were just extremely condescending. I’m doing a lot more online shopping, so I likely won’t be back to Simons anytime soon.

Simons has devolved into a mess. The staff are rude, inattentive and woke. I used to shop here on a fairly regular basis for upper-mid level clothing however, I no longer bother. They do not take customer service complaints seriously. The last time I was in the store, the staff were all gossiping behind the counter, ignoring customers. Not worth your time.

Not sure about customer service. They sold me a suit jacket, and two months later, they called me saying the jacket came with a pair of pants, when I went to see the pants, they’re were kids size basically. And told me take it or leave it. So basically they charged me for a full suit and just gave me the jacket. People showing clothes there have no knowledge of what they are selling? And managers have no good answers for when they screw up.

Devante provides excellent service every time for all my dress attire and suit needs. Extremely professional and knowledgeable. He is an exceptional employee that brings me back to Simons even though the location isn't ideal for me.

I had purchased my wedding suit and it arrived at the Simons Calgary store this week. When I went in I was looking to pair it with shoes and a shirt with a bowtie. Devante was absolutely awesome in helping me and extremely knowledgeable about suiting. He brought so many options and helped with styling. I bad the best experience ever shopping here thanks to him!
