Built in 1891, in what would become Calgary’s Beltline neighborhood, Lougheed House was built by James and Isabella Lougheed and is one of the last remaining examples of a grand sandstone prairie mansion. The house and its large formal gardens became a hub of social and political influence. Today, it is home to a museum and exhibition space, a gift shop, and public event spaces.

Visited at night and the house looked incredible. It’s such a beautiful place; you can’t help but imagine the history and what it was like to live there back in the day. Highly recommend stopping by!

Went to wedding ceremony and reception at the House. Amazing interior and venue. Wine was good. Bartender was great at mixing drinks. Canned alcoholic beverages were off could have had better selection.
