It’s December 21st, my sister and I had to put our family dog down this morning and decided that shopping might distract us from the grief we’re feeling. We walked into Lush looking to score some more gifts for friends and family members, sampling products as we went (which is encouraged, by the sampling stations). One station had an array of “sampling sticks” and what looked like bath salts and scrubs. My sister and I were sampling the products, smelling them, dutifully wiping the sample sticks as we went. Unfortunately, the staff member next to us interrupted our conversation by saying “It’s clearly common courtesy to not do that.” Her tone was condescending and she didn’t clarify what we were doing wrong. Common courtesy not to do what? Sample the products? We quickly left, feeling embarrassed. We only felt like this for a second before walking back in and asking for her name (Ida apparently, with the red hair). I don’t think we would be writing this if our dog didn’t die today. But it just goes to show that you never know what people are dealing with, and when you’re in hospitality you have to conduct yourself with grace. In plain terms, this staff member made a rude comment in a patronizing tone (in a place of business) towards would-be paying customers. She could have said “oh actually, this is usually how we use samples” or “do you need help sampling these products?” Instead, “it’s common courtesy to not do that” in a substitute-teacher-tone with no further explanation. I know it’s hard to work retail during the holidays, and my respect goes out to the people who do. My respect is lost when these same people treat their customers like throwaways and expect to still sell a product. Lush, you lost business today. Do better.

I can’t explain that amazing service I got. After visiting the children's hospital with my son we decided to have a quick stop at the mall for a toy. Instantly my son had his eyes on the bath bombs he absolutely love bath bombs!! we got greeted by an amazing worker who right of away, noticed that my son was nonverbal and autistic, she help us and let him have a bath bomb to Dissolve letting him play in the water and giving us a very welcoming feeling she also introduce him to some other products. That he Easily love. I couldn’t hold up my tears from such a welcoming environment. I believe her name is Kerrie. Thank you so much you have a heart of an angel. You have no idea how much we need it the love 💙 we travel form Lethbridge our Visits to the Children’s Hospital now will have a fun stop to get some lush products

Walk in and be surrounded by the amazing scent of hand made products! Bath bombs are delightful, lotions are incredible (Sleepy is my fav!), and the body sprays stay for hours.

We went there to get a facial cleansing for my daughter and Kari was so kind and helpful while suggesting product to us. Very knowledgeable at the same time. She also gave us samples to try on. Thank you Kari for your kind gesture towards my introvert daughter.

I'm a long time Lushie, and the manager here is wonderful, as are all the sales associates! I'm always greeted with smiles and friendliness. Everyone is so helpful, and they don't tail you while you're trying to sniff and shop. They are more than willing to get samples of products you'd like to try before buying, as well. I love them all ?

This lush store isn't the best. The service can be really terrible. The products are wonderful and if they had similar staff to chinooks location, I would be so pleased, as this location is much much closer to me. But I think I'd rather make the trip across the city for better service. ?

I’m not sure the name of the employee… but he was the sweetest boy I’ve met…I walked into lush to cheer myself up and I guess my hard day was pretty visible. When I was clearly pondering over products he approached me so sweetly to ask if he could help me with anything, and was super helpful with my questions. At the end of my shopping he actually gifted me a bath bomb and told me he could tell today was a bad day and wanted to make it better, I literally almost cried from his kind gesture after the day I had.Anyways I hope he gets recognized for how amazing he is!
