Took my car in to get brakes done and asked them to check out a couple of other things. They were able to give me a thorough report of what needed to be addressed, and when I asked they were really good about discussing what needed to be done right away for safety reasons and what was maintenance or could wait.

DO NOT GO HERE and book with Shaun for your Out of Province Inspection.
Brought my car in for the mandatory Out of Province Inspection check. Shaun gave me a quote of $2.6k and upsold me very hard by including unnecessary fixes and for parts as basic as windowshield wipers (quoted me extra $150 to get them changed including the labour fees for BOTH of the individual wipers), lied to me about how I cannot simply change them myself (because apparently "the whole thing is broken"). When I tried to reason with him by bringing my vehicle back with me to give it some time to reconsider before paying such an expensive bill after the inspection, Shaun began cornering me by rushing me (by removing the car off the vehicle lift before I even ask him any questions with an angry look on his face) and imposing me for reinspection fees (another $100). I am a small woman (5'3 & 100lb) and it was a very scary situation for me. I had no choice but to keep my smile on, trying my best not to cry, while Shaun was yelling at me in a very very threatening tone of voice that the he cannot grant me a pass for the Out of Province Inspection unless I enable him to charge me another $150 for just a windshield wiper change service.
I felt very unsafe here but had no choice to act like I was ok with the imposing conditions when I felt very frightened and hopeless. I NEEDED to register that car to commute to my entry level job and the quote given was way out of my budget. It breaks my heart that I couldn't be paired up with a mechanic who could offer honest service but instead, with someone who's so scary and imposing.
I usually go to other mechanics to get the same vehicle maintained but I had no choice but to book with this location this time as I was trying to register my vehicle asap. It's my first time ever for paying such an expensive bill for such basic level maintenance and the first time ever being yelled at by a mechanic like that.

I was very impressed with Jay's willingness to go above and beyond. He helped me figure out an option for my student budget, and was super transparent and friendly throughout the whole process. My exhaust system has never sounded better, and the entire experience was stress-free and excellent. I am referring everyone I know to this shop:)

I've had several good experiences with this location.
In my most recent I brought my older SUV here for what I thought was a relatively cheap and routine repair.
Turns out I had many critical problems that would cost more than the car was worth to repair.
They walked me through and showed me each issue. Went above and beyond to do so.
They were very cordial when I declined, even though they put much effort into trouble shooting all my many problems.
My other visits have been similarly good and I have recommended to family already.
