Hiring Nibia was the WORST day in our lives. 2 Bedroom Apt: 12 HOUR move, items DAMAGED, and movers FIGHTING. I would have saved the money and moved myself if I knew. If you are shopping for movers, take a minute to read the below (ESPECIALLY if you have a designated time in which you need to move your belongings).
1) THEY WERE 4 HOURS LATE. We had a scheduled elevator time for our new apartment and we did not make it. Would have been nice for a call. But no, barely any communication. They were also supposed to call when they were 30 mins away. Never happened.
STRIKE 2 - BED TOSSED OVER BALCONY. A mover literally dropped our mattress from the second story balcony onto the ground... thankfully it was covered in a mattress bag. (Now this did anger another mover and scolded him).
STRIKE 3 - INTERNAL FIGHTING. Internal fighting starts when we get to the storage unit. We hired three movers but a fourth arrived with the crew. She seemed to be the wife of one of the movers but also a supervisor (at least that's what she said to me). It was clear that there was a division among the four, 2 vs 2. As a customer, I don't want to hear about how one can't stand working with another in a middle of a job, this is a stressful time and hearing that makes it even worse.
STRIKE 4 - MOVER LEAVES EARLY. An hour at the storage unit when the Mover and Girlfriend/Supervisor get into their car and leave. I figured they ran low on supplies and went to get more. After an hour of them being gone, I knew that was not the case. The rest had to be packed up by the two movers. I noticed they were exhausted. Being down one mover, it took the two over 1.5 hours to finish loading the truck. It's now 7:30 PM, our contract had them being done at 5 PM.
STRIKE 5 - OVER AN 1 HOUR TO DRIVE 9 KILOMETRES. I arrive at the new apartment and to my surprise I see Mover and Girlfriend/Supervisor waiting there. They said they've been waiting an hour and asked where the truck was! After a 30 mins, the mover asked if I could call Andrey. Apparently he didn't have his number. How?! How can they have no form of communication between each other?! We call the only number that was provided to us and surprise, it's Wife/Manager's number, who's standing right next to us... I asked if she can call Andrey and she tells me that she can’t get a hold of him. Another 30 mins passes and the truck finally arrives.
STRIKE 6 - BOTH SIDES TELL US TO REPORT THE OTHER. Both pull me aside to reaffirm they were doing things right and the other was wrong.
STRIKE 7 - MOVER AND GIRLFRIEND/SUPERVISOR LEAVY EARLY AGAIN. The whole crew is exhausted and frustrated between each other. They didn't have a system and were slow. It's after 11 PM when Girlfriend/Supervisor says that she and Mover have to go because she has kids at the babysitters.
STRIKE 8 - MOVER LEAVES ENTIRE ELEVATOR FULL. After the two leave, we discover that the elevator was overloaded with our stuff. The mover filled it and left it, The other mover and I were shocked. He shook his head in disgust and started unloading. I started helping to get the nightmare over sooner.
STRIKE 9 - COPS ARE CALLED. The two movers exhausted and get sloppy. I saw moving totes broken and boxes crushed. I didn't realize the extent until we started unpacking the following days. It's 12 AM and a cop shows up while they are leaving for a loud noise complaint. I'm mortified, but he's understanding and they all leave.
STRIKE 10 - COMMUNICATION WITH THE OWNER IS HARD AND VERY SLOW. After we regroup we call Andrey a few days later. We expected a professional courtesy of some sort of compensation. Nope, we got an apology and told they we are all suspended for 3 days. We never wanted that, that doesn't help us and they were all nice people individually.
As we continue to discover more and

I wish I had read these reviews before hiring Nibia. I greatly regret hiring these bullies and narcissistic charlatans who have no care in the world for their customers. My review is to warn potential future people from hiring this careless moving company, which has zero respect for your belongings, and I mean ZERO respect. It should be a crime for this company to use the word “professional” in any part of their code of conduct. We as clients, do not hire a company in hopes to end up in litigation. We hire for moving help and safe transportation. I had around 40 boxes, one 8 ft couch and a heavy marble table which I specifically mentioned, that’s why I hired 3 helpers. Not once in the four of my conversations with this company, after the move was insurance ever mentioned. The owner of this company, Andrey, makes it all sound sweet and dandy and makes false promises of making amends, until they destroy your furniture and do nothing to compensate for it. When they were lifting my marble table (which was not even properly wrapped), their truck’s “4000” lbs capacity liftgate bent and dropped my marble table on the asphalt, smashing it to smithereens.
The owner’s wife Marina - called me after the incident and tantalized me with false assurances that the damages will be compensated for. It’s been over a month since the move and I’m still being ghosted by Nibia Movers. They completely backpedalled on their promise. Andrey, who is super rude and needs a reality check called me the next day, not even trying to apologize, said that I can only be compensated for 50 cents per pound of the item, which is simply ludicrous, especially considering the fact that it was their faulty equipment that caused this entire fiasco. That marble table cost me over $6500!! One of the movers even agreed with me that they shouldn’t have sent this faulty truck for the move. They left massive scratches on my wooden floors with the metal hand trucks they were using to transport my boxes. One the bottom of the back of my leather sofa, I also saw some rips that weren’t there before. And also, one of the wood railings in my new place were chipped and I wasn’t told about any of this? Andrey - I hope one day you experience what I have, and only then will you realize how traumatizing this is, that’s my best wish for you. In addition to my table being completely destroyed they had the nerve to charge me extra for another truck they had to bring for the table. This is simply unacceptable, because I was lied to, mislead and scammed. I sincerely hope that no one else will have to go through what I went through, this is actually ridiculous that I have to sit down and write all this. No bullying or harassment will be tolerated from this company, which is notorious for their carelessness, complacency and the inability to own up to their own faults. I should never have been put in such a situation. And customers should not be held liable for an old and broken lift gate collapsing. This is absurd and unethical and I urge everyone to use a different moving company.

We had an exceptional experience with Nibia Movers! Marina and Andrey are real professionals! They helped us to move from Calgary to Winnipeg. They took care not only of our furniture providing their own boxes, blankets, and packing everything carefully, but also they took care of our plants despite the challenging mid-November weather! Whenever we decide to change our location again, we know whom to ask for help! Thank you so much for your outstanding service!

BEWARE OF NIBIA MOVERSNever have I ever been so outraged to post a review like this, but I want to warn all the people who are think about hiring this company. I also want to note that my closest family member has passed away recently, and this is the last thing that I want to deal with. Thus, it is of vital importance for everyone to know what a horrible company this is. On August 29th, they moved my father’s house and my family was very disgruntled. Andrey has gave a wrong cost estimation, which was simply infuriating. I had to pay almost $1500 more than the quote. The movers were very lackadaisical about their work and caused damages to many of our items. As the day passed, they became even more careless and lazy, wanting to go home more than providing care for my belongings. Another big problem was them “losing” our jewelry and a television screen. My father had a dresser with drawers and he was told that they would simply shrink wrap it, without taking them out. So my father packed all of his jewelry and put it in the top right drawer. When the movers moved this dresser into the new house, my dad has unwrapped the dresser, checked the drawer and the jewelry went missing. The television that went on top of the dresser was gone too. My father was deeply upset. Fortunately, it wasn’t particularly expensive, but it was my grandma’s which would be passed to my daughter, a family heirloom. All of it is completely gone, over $5000 worth. We looked for it in our property and in the boxes. We didn’t find them anywhere. This is why I posted this review over a month later, to completely ensure it’s not in our house. We called Nibia about this and Andrey denied it full-heartedly in his rude, patronizing tone. We are going to have to file a police report about this incident.Needless to say, they also left dings and various scratch marks all over our walls, ceilings, arm railings and floors. The whole thing was a sham, a tragedy, and a very unpleasant experience that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Consider this as a warning and if you are considering using these amateurs, I highly recommend NOT doing it.

My experience of doing business Nibia movers was one of the most awful experiences ever. The job estimate was done wrong and underestimated by Andrey. The day that the move was booked, only 2 people showed up instead of 3. It took them a very long time to get started, wrap my furniture and load the truck. By the time it was 8:30 PM, they wanted to do the off-load the next day. The distribution of manpower is simply unprofessional, as well as the management. This company does not care a single bit about its customers and treats them terribly. This company ended up costing me more than twice the estimated amount without even doing the work on time. They also scratched my hardwood floor with their metal hand-trucks and chipped on of the sideboards of my bed. It was indeed distressing to have these guys move me. If you are thinking of hiring Nibia movers... DO NOT DO IT! You are out of luck if there’s any damages or if you have to end up paying more money than estimated. This is the worst company with which I’ve done business in my life

I just completed a move with Nibia and it was an absolute nightmare for many reasons. First, Andrey Butenko quoted me $1200 for the move, but after we were done, they charged me for $2300 WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING TO ME. The move was a total disaster because the movers were absolutely unqualified and unprepared. They were slow, unprofessional, and complained the whole time. One of the movers was completely reckless and injured himself by hitting his head on our property. We tried to press him to seek medical attention but he declined as the other employees stated the company didn’t provide insurance coverage. These "movers" were all definitely above the age of 50, old, withered and wrinkled codgers. MY WIFE AND I ENDED UP DOING 20% - 30% OF THE MOVE OURSELVES BECAUSE IT WAS CLEAR THEY WERE UNABLE TO DO THE MOVE TIMELY THEMSELVES. They brought out a so called "manager" (the owner’s wife Marina) to finish the move when it was obviously taking too long and she never lifted a single heavy item (we still had 2 couches and a dresser left), refusing to apologize. Simply ridiculous.Furthermore, they destroyed our TV stand that cost us $950 while ignoring safety protocols and refused to reimburse it. They hauled it off, promising to submit a clam on our behalf which was a lie because we never heard from Nibia movers again. I had to call several times to have a claim filed. Then, they never responded to ANY of the issues they were clearly negligent for. Their “solution” was a measly $140 refund with a lame letter stating they would not be responding to any further inquiries.Nibia Movers is a complete scam. They're liars, fraudsters and will overcharge you without a forewarning. I'll be reporting my experience to everyone I know to prevent them from having a similar experience.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH NIBIA MOVERS. I only wish I had read the other negative reviews before hiring them. They do not deserve your time and will only make things more difficult and more expensive for you.

Andrey helped us move from Regina to Kamloops. Everything went so smoothly, his team in Regina wrapped the furniture up meticulously and made sure everything was well protected. Upon arrival, everything was in perfect condition. He was honest and up front about costs and showed proof of everything, on top of being the most affordable option. He communicated efficiently and always showed up early. He was friendly and made our moving experience as low stress as possible, with a smile and lots of stories and jokes thrown in. Absolutely would hire again in a heartbeat and recommend to anyone needing moving services. Thanks again Andrey & team!

DO NOT UTILIZE THIS MOVING COMPANY. I am righteously compelled to share my utter disappointment with Nibia Movers. They showed up half an hour later, because they claimed they were having some technical problems. Andrey, his wife Marina and another middle-aged man loaded our belongings a lot slower than the previous company we used. It was probably because Marina did not move a single item into the truck and was simply lousily putting pads on my furniture. During the offload, they dragged a 7 ft iron table out of the moving truck. It shattered the weld on one of its 8 legs. I filed a damage report before they finished their job. Andrey and his team left without even mentioning the approximate date when they can get it fixed. I only received a text message from Andrey 3 days later apologizing for his own complacency. Andrey claimed that the welds were already peeling off before the move and that he is not responsible for the damage, and said that the best he could do is send me $150. The table cost me $1300 to buy! And the money that he sent isn’t even close to afford the repair. The most aggravating part of this is that Andrey sounded like it was my fault. This is a terrible way to treat your customers, especially seniors. I will never recommend this company to handle anyone’s belongings. Simply, avoid.

The following will sum up only a tiny fraction of the misfortunes I was forced to experience by hiring Nibia Movers. If anyone else wants to use this company, make sure to read all the lowest rated reviews for them, because after my experience with them, they must be accurate and fair! I had a baby grand piano that I needed to move and called to ask if they have any experience with them, after which they replied with a confident “yes”. 3 guys showed up and acted like they’ve never seen a piano before. The lead man (Andrey) asked them if they have watched the youtube video he sent them, to which the other 2 guys responded “no”. First, they started to wrap the piano in shrink wrap, but the top cover was still popped, as was the key cover. I had to intervene and put those things down myself, because they didn’t know what they were doing with the piano before wrapping and loading it! When they were bringing the piano out of the truck to unload it, my girlfriend was watching them on the ring doorbell and they let the piano lose balance and drop sideways, making a loud banging noise. They dropped 700 pounds worth of weight onto the concrete stairs! This told me right away that they had no experience moving them.Nibia Movers also caused damages to every single piece of my furniture. They tried to hide a sofa table that they destroyed behind my other furniture without telling me about it. I found the table destroyed beyond repair under the boxes. They dropped my brand new dining table on the ground, taking 4 huge chunks out of it. They didn’t take the legs off the table and put a bunch of heavy boxes on it, breaking one of the legs, as well as leaving scratches all over it. They managed to break 2 of the hooks off of my coat rack. When they unloaded the coat rack into my new house, they made sure to lean the broken side against the wall to try to hide the damage. They must’ve thrown out the hooks that they broke, because my family still hasn’t found them. They got rid of the evidence to try to evade responsibility. They leaned something sharp in the truck against two of my living room chairs, resulting in the fabric being punctured.. They chipped the corners of my brand new wooden nightstands, I saw it as they unpacked them. They left scratches all over my wooden dresser too. I have a bed with drawers at the sides of the foot of the bed. The workers didn’t fully dismantle it, just took out the drawers and removed the headboard from the frame and drug the frame on my floors. The frame went off the rails and got scratches all over it. They also cracked the base of the headboard when loading it into the truck. I had 2 decorative metal chests. They handled them roughly, bending and denting the metal. My metal bench was also slammed against the side of the truck, leaving a huge dent on it. I have a large 4-piece office desk and they broke its surface by dropping it on the ramp of the truck, and also dropped one of the overhead cabinets. One guy shoved a metal hand truck into another cabinet, scuffing it as well. After they left, Andrey reassured me that we will have a conversation shortly and that he will financially reimburse all the damages. It has been 3 weeks and I have not heard a word since. I am enraged at the sloppiness and lack of professionalism. Absolutely not worth paying them over $3,000 to move anything, and especially not a baby grand piano! I urge everyone not to repeat my mistake and find a different moving company if you want your belongings to arrive without damages.

I booked Nibia Movers with slight hesitation due to the presence of some negative reviews this company has. And my experience with Nibia was indeed negative.Four movers came to help me with my move. One guy was constantly sitting down, watching videos on his phone. I asked him several times to do the work, as I was short on time. The second man claimed that he was having "stomach aches" and took three half hour long washroom breaks. Since he was in no condition to work, I don’t understand why he was hired by Andrey. During the move, the workers were screaming and bickering among each other a lot and were so loud, that my neighbor texted me jokingly if the "Jerry Springer Show" was taking place in my house. They finally loaded my old place after scratching a few walls and railings in it and started driving to my new property, which was only 5 minutes away. Exactly 5 minutes later, I followed them. I had to wait in my new home for almost 50 minutes. I was becoming concerned, because I had no clue where they were with all my family furniture. They were missing for almost an hour, so I called Andrey to ask if maybe they were lost. He tried to apologize to me profusely. 7 minutes later, they finally came to my new place. When they arrived, their attitude was even worse than before. They sounded grumpy and rude, throwing boxes on the ground. This is not even half of the issues I’ve experienced, because another gentleman had stopped working several times during the offload to come and talk to me in my room. He was asking me very odd personal questions and wanted to buy my bed from me. He kept following me, even after I told him that I wasn’t interested. It was uncomfortable and creepy. They scratched my floors and broke a lamp in my new place. Two days after the job, I got a call from an unknown number. I hung up on it, but then I got a text. It was from that worker; he got my number from Andrey and wanted to talk to me. I did not answer. The day later, he texted me a few more times, so I blacklisted his number. He then tried to friend me on Facebook and messaged me. I also blocked him there and set all my profiles to private. I thought I was rid of him, but the night after, when I put my kids to bed, someone rang my doorbell. He was standing at my door, trying to start a conversation. This scared me. I politely told him to have a good night and quickly locked the door. I turned off the lights in my house and prayed he would leave me alone. After that, I called to the cops to ask for advice, they were concerned and sent an officer to my place. I filled out a report and they told him to stay away from me. I paid a hefty price to my locksmith to change all the locks in my residence. This same fellow working for Nibia movers stole the keys to my house, most likely.I am flabbergasted, because this company gives out personal information. No background checks, no criminal record checks were performed on the workers. I am terrified for my wife and children, when an employee feels the need to loiter by my house.I hope that this won’t happened to anyone else. I will tell all my friends and family about the horrible experience I had with Nibia movers.

Used Nibia movers for a move from Calgary to Toronto in May 2023. Everything arrived safely. Good pricing.Andre was very helpful in quickly responding to changes in our schedule. Would recommend them for your next move.
